“The cider tasting room is like an adorable log cabin with real fireplaces, lots of seating, and plenty of games to enjoy. The food was good but EXTREMELY salty! Would have been good if they had toned down the salt. The loaded fries were probably our favorite.
They have a ton of ciders and beers on tap- something for everyone!”

“Googled food nearby, saw the name and disregarded it as I'm not a fan of BBQ. Disappointed, I decided we'd just head toward home and grab some fast food on the way.

I didn't notice the place until it was in the rearview mirror. I smelled something amazing and turned the the car around. Saw the name and recognized it as the restaurant I'd earlier disregarded. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and baked beans and a slice of apple pie. My thought was "woah" when the bill was over $22. But when they handed me the bag I understood. I could have easily shared this with someone (I have half of it in the fridge for tomorrow). No shallow sections in this packaging. Beans and potato salad were plentiful and good, especially the baked beans. They make it nice and thick like I like it. The sandwich was good too!

But I'll tell you what, that dang apple pie is one of those foods you think about years after eating it. I have never, ever, had pie crust that I've finished. Just not a fan. But this crust was maybe better than the filling. Seriously! It was somehow sweet and soft but not mushy.

I look forward to visiting the area again and trying the ribs. But man - I will be lusting after that pie until then.

(At first I gave 'atmosphere' a 2 because it's a hole in the wall, if you will. But after I thought about it, I realized that's probably the charm and magic. It's a roadside gem. So I'm giving that damn parking lot I ate in a 5!)”

“My wife brought a "no sugar added" apple pie home to WV. She wasn't planning on buying it but our 3yo granddaughter decided to poke her finger through the wrap to sample a taste. Unfortunately, the pie was disappointing as it was 90% filling and 10% apples. We will not be eating anymore of it after one piece. I can't speak to their other baked goods but I would not recommend fruit pies if this one is typical.”

“Valentines Day dinner was amazing. Shrimp Risotto & Short Ribs were delicious. Just wish they would bring back the steak, so good. This is our go to place. We have always had excellent service food and drinks. Manager Dominic is so accommodating & Hurt was very attentive and as always gives excellent service. Their bourbon and beers are the best.”

“Pumpkin Delights: Spoiler alert, these are my favorite seasonal snack from Little Debbie. They’re soft, chewy, sweet, and full of delicious pumpkin flavor (along with hints of cinnamon/spice). Basically, they are a pumpkin flavored cookie. Thankfully the “spice” flavor is muted and not in your face or burning (I prefer less spice and more of a pumpkin pie flavor to my pumpkin treats). The orange gel used for the eyes and mouth had just a hint of pumpkin flavor, but it’s more for decoration/aesthetics. Some of the cookies were done very well with the eyes and mouth looking just like on the box, but a few looked pretty bad (too scary to show). They pair great with a cup of pumpkin spice coffee or be like the Doughboy and take these cookies up a notch by adding cream cheese frosting to them. Not a frosting person? They also pair nicely with a scoop of pumpkin ice cream to create your own seasonal Pizookie.

Opened and enjoyed the Blue Heeler bottle shortly after receiving the order and appreciated the great flavor. The only thing I would recommend or like to see differently is a “virgin” option of slushies for people that don’t drink or kids that want a refreshing treat. “Stoney Creek at Wintergreen is one of the best publicity accessible golf courses in the Piedmont region of Central Virginia. The course features spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and is in excellent shape from tee to green. I played all 27 holes and the staff were friendly and pleasant and made sure my round was going smoothly. This is a must play course in the area and isn’t too difficult.”
