“Cute place with fantastic views. Service was great ladies were very helpful and welcoming. We did not eat but loved that they had a soup flight! Had a Hot Toadie - warm cider with cinnamon sugar rum. Perfect for a cold mountain day and got a mug to take home. Cool spot check them out!”

“Came in on a rainy Saturday to test it out since we always loved Devils Backbone canned cocktails and IPAs. It's definitely a large spot when the weather is nice but in terms of indoor seating there's not a ton of seating. Lots of fire pits and covered areas outdoors though so even on a rainy day the place was busy. The outdoor bar was open and we waited in the cool cigar lounge for our table. There was a 45 minute wait even though tables were open (you order by QR code). Our waiter was quite nice though so we never waited long for drinks or food. I highly recommend the nachos and we asked them for more chips because the chip to toppings ratio was large (which is rare). We got the wings too which were perfectly smoky but would have liked a bit more sauce. The food menu was great if you were a bbq fan but would have loved to see a few more simple options like a grilled chicken sandwich, etc. We stopped into the liquor store and the merch area and prices were fair in both, with some nice shirts and the canned drinks to go.”

“We were skiing and got a bogo deal for breakfast. I was very surprised how reasonable the breakfast prices are. I expected resort prices. The food was great, large portions, and the service was fantastic. But, we were there on a very slow day so the staff was not overworked.”

“I had time for one pint, and I chose well. The Didgeridoo IPA was delicious! Great vibe at this roadside brewhouse, and there's a beautiful view from the back deck. Lots of picnic tables along the little creek and even a groundhog poking around. If I lived closer, I'd be here weekly!”

“My family and I love this place...best place for icecream by far and prices are very affordable I recommend everyone to stop by here on thier way through our beautiful nelson county!! And for everyone complaining about the staff they are there to do a job not make friends I personally never had a issue with their staff not being friendly not super talkative but never rude!!!”

“I really love this place. It was my first time stopping after passing it several times and thinking to myself, 'I really have to stop there.' That seems to happen a lot down this way. I stopped in with my son and was worried when I saw everyone eating ice cream because I thought that it was just an ice cream parlor. It turns out everything is amazing here. It has elements of a classic southern market, like hot comfort food by the container and kind personal service. There's a whole menu to consider of sandwiches and sides. Great sides, too, like fried pickles, hush puppies, and batter dipped onion rings. I got a single bacon cheeseburger, which could not have been fresher. The onion rings on the side were flaky, soft, and perfectly cooked. I can NOT wait to get back here for breakfast. I had a nice conversation at the counter with a few people. A crowd sat outside enjoying ice cream and community. Kind, helpful service. Highly recommended, thoroughly encouraged.”

“Loved the patio and the views. Beer and food were pretty amazing. We had the pretzel with the queso and beer mustard and the chicken/garlic pizza. Sooo good! Trent our waiter was so sweet and personable. Sitting out there you meet other patrons and just strike up conversations. The atmosphere there is so conducive to this. Loved it!”

“Trish and Jodi are passionate and caring, from the conversations to the food and every detail - they are one step ahead of you. Alesha makes a perfect drink as ordered. Old fashion is what I recommend if you cant make up your mind. Jodi cooks the best steaks and sea food, and the collard greens are the best I’ve had even living in Charlston SC. The staff is welcoming and have great smiles and make you feel right at home. Cant wait to go back and leave another review.”

They know you and what you are looking for , and , you know them. It's great to be able to approach and converse with the people that you see almost every day . “Looking for a good brewery, and a place to eat look no further. We did have to wait for a table, but we were seated far quicker than the expectation. This is by far the best brewery and Restaurant close to the Wintergreen resort area. The beer was absolutely fantastic and the food was incredible. I had the Philly cheesesteak, and it was by far the best one I have ever had. Also, had the Parmesan fries so delicious. The service was great and very attentive. We had Martha as our server she was fantastic!”

“I'm a semi-local. Sometimes I'm there sometimes I'm not. Anyway, I had a bad experience with quality of food there over a year ago and decided to go back. Something is different. The Birra Tacos were amazing and the vibe of the place has changed for the better. Could be an isolated incident but I really enjoyed the food and beer and I WILL be back. Prices also are reasonable. “Did have an issue with the order but will say that the food I did receive tasted really good. Have eaten here for many many years and always liked. Will circle items on menu if problem when ordering to try to make easier. Really love getting a side cup of sauce to make everything just a little tastier instead of soy or duck sauce, should try worth the extra cost over the free packets. If I order just the sauce I try to give a good tip since it’s not a big purchase for them to make much off of. Hope things just go good I do want this restaurant to stay around”

“I’ve traveled back and forth from Bedford to either Charlottesville or Fredericksburg for the past 3 years and always stop at this Mdonalds because of the exceptionally pleasant and welcoming staff.
