New American Restaurants near Wintergreen Resort, VA

“We had reservations for Mother's Day. The restaurant staff was excellent and the food was very good. The roast beef was somewhat on the rare end of the scale so not for those of us who like medium to well done. Fruit, vegetables, chicken, pasta, gravy, and desserts were all A+. Would definitely go again.“

“The Copper Mine at Wintergreen was “temporarily” closed in 2020 during the pandemic. Now, at the end of 2022, it remains closed. It is still set up as a restaurant; the signs remain and it is still on the Wintergreen website. Nearly every other restaurant at Wintergreen has reopened. No one has presented a good explanation why the Copper Mine remains closed. I frequented this restaurant many times in the past and hope to visit again, someday.“

I especially loved watching the lambs and sheep play in the barnyard each morning—it was such a charming touch. They graciously accommodated a bridesmaids’ brunch and were flexible with wine hours and breakfast timing, which made everything feel relaxed and personalized.
