The owner and his wife were a little short staffed, but they worked their tail off to an accommodate us and were friendly. The food was great. I will be back

Portions are sooo small compared to any other Ethiopian restaurant. We used to order from them when they were just the market and they gave decent portions but now after they bought the restaurant they got greedy and are scamming people on the portions. Such a shame. Take your hard earned dollars to Emaye on minneville for good portions and taste to go if you’re in Woodbridge

I ordered food for my daughter's birthday to serve about 30 people. The food was ready to pick up on the scheduled time, everyone complimented the taste (it was great!), and they even gave us complementary 'anebabro', which tasted so good. And Leah was very responsive & kind. I thank them for the great service!

If you haven’t tried Ethiopian food, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s such a great experience, and the food is incredibly delicious and flavorful with a nice amount of spice. I think you’ll really enjoy it, especially if you like eating with your hands.
Apparently during Lent they also have a vegan buffet on weekends that looks amazing, though I haven’t tried it yet.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Between the friendly staff, amazing food, and cozy vibes, this is definitely the restaurant you’d want to go to for the best Ethiopian food in the area. Every chance I get to travel to this area, I always make a point to come by and grab some food and conversation!

This is so insane to pay $44 for this as the house special!!! What’s the special about this? This portion you can get it for $20+ at other Ethiopian Restaurants! I couldn’t believe how it was light on my hand after paying $44 and you can’t have it for 2 people even and I had to returned after I checked it in my car there is no way I would pay this much for this food!! With this price you can have a meal for 4 peoples !! So sorry for none Ethiopian people because they don’t know but we know so you can’t foul everyone please!! We know our food !! Even at high end restaurants u don’t pay this much!! Never comeback!! This is a scam !

This was my first time ordering food from this place I got ketefo and Tibs and both was not that good , I don’t think I will order again maybe I will just buy the injera from them .

Please be careful about what you order from this place. I bought meat from this place and it turned into mushy substance when I cook it. I am so worried and horrified about the food safety at this place. I am so glad we caught it can you imagine giving this to your kids. This so crazy, I threw out everything I bought from them. I just want everyone else to know and be safe. I have a video as well but google doesn’t allow video uploaded. Hope you all are not giving this to your kids. Be safe, honestly only here to warn you, the owners are such arrogant people they deserve to be shut.

I had great experience ordering food for an event from Betanya Market. The food was ready on time and the packaging was excellent. Nothing spilled all the way from Woodbridge to Herndon. Their price is also very competitive, I know that because I called several other catering services. The person I spoke with (Daniel) was very helpful in suggesting the right size of order for my guests.
Overall excellent experience and I highly recommend Betanya Ethiopian Market for everyone.
