This review is solely based on the General Tso chicken! It makes so much sense why they give a free order if you spend $55+. There is literally a strip of shredded chicken and batter. When you bite into it’s mushy and falls apart. I started to break apart the pieces and only found about 7 that strips of chicken. No more chunks Sampan is better! All the white in the picture is not chicken just mushy batter! So disappointed!
I was a little afraid to order from here after seeing their rating but I did anyway and I'm glad I did. This might be some of the best Chinese food I've had outside of New York City. Very flavorful and they gave their own delivery. No need to pay Uber $50 delivery fee 🤣🤣😂. I don't know why the ratings are low because the food was fantastic?!!
Say what you want about this Chinese take-out but end of the day and most importantly, the food is good. It's not high end but at the same time, it shouldn't be expected for a local carryout. They're consistent and timely. Not perfect but again, consistently good. We've tried other local Chinese several times over the past 20+ years (Sampan and Montclair areas included) but our fam reverts back to New China.
