First the food is incredible. There is a recognizable comfort to each dish and yet it is elevated. We tried the war fries, lobster pasta, the salmon, and carrot cake, and brownie. All delicious. The server, Zach, was sweet and accommodated an allergy with a lot of care. We felt so happy eating here. The manager checked on us. It was classy and yet comfy. The fact that First Lady Wilson inspired the renovated hotels name and exhibits make the experience at the restaurant even more...
I had high expectations for the food. The service is great, as is the atmosphere.
Unfortunately the food was average at best. My short rib was very dry and bland. I couldn't eat it. I didn't want to chance another sub-par entree, so I asked for a burger. They was dry too.

My husband and I had such a wonderful meal. With my background in the hotel industry and travel, it was especially refreshing to experience such talent here in Southwest Virginia.
Jacob Crvich, Executive Chef clearly brings a wealth of experience - your restaurant is lucky to have him. Jade was also fantastic: warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable.
