Nothing like driving an hour to sit for 45 minutes to learn they never put your order in. Still charge you $11 for four drinks and then be salty you didn’t tip them because they didn’t provide any service. Couldn’t tell you if they’re world famous or not because I couldn’t get any.
I’ve been meaning to hit up Skeeters for a long time—I knew about it since I was little because my grandparents were in Wytheville. My mom and I finally stopped in recently to try it (we both live out of town).
We experienced very friendly service, a laid back vibe, and good dogs. I had a regular and a New Yorker. They hit the spot, and the chili is awesome! You can’t beat a hot dog, and I always love patronizing small businesses over chains.
