“i loved buddy’s! there’s nothing remotely fancy or elevated there, but the smash-style burgers are transcendent, the fries are very good, the selection of retro-style sodas is satisfying, and the milkshakes are real, thick, beautiful shakes. the atmosphere is tidy and casual fast food. speaking of fast, my order took about three minutes. all of the staff were friendly and helpful. the playlist is amazing: upbeat selections from the 70s and 80s. i’m not sure what i was expecting in the big rambling old historic building, but it wasn’t a perfect slice of americana, which buddy’s is. it’s my new go-to in montpelier.“
