Amazing maple soft serve ice cream!!! This soft serve had maple bits in the soft serve, which definitely the flavor. When I first went, they ran out because it was so popular. On the way back, we stopped by again and they finally had it. I can see why they ran out the first time. I also had the apple strussel and it was on the softer side. The Apple Barn Country Bake Shop is located on Rt 7 just south of Bennington. Fresh baked pies (apple, fruits of the forest, blueberry, etc.), cider donuts and other pastries are prepared and sold at the store. Also sold are cider, local cheeses, maple syrup, etc. Well worth a stop if you are traveling through VT on this route.

I love this place. Great atmosphere of a country store. Baked goods, fresh fruits, wine, etc. I live close by and love their donuts. I mailed them to California and they stayed fresh.
