Blue Benn Reviews
While coming back to western NY, we made a side trip to Bennington and started to look for somewhere to eat. So, went to Google and found this great place, Blue Benn.
An original diner since 1948 - but let me tell you. FANTASTIC from the moment you walk in the door until you try to roll yourself out the door from eating some much wonderful food.
From the fried homemade donut to the best omelette ever (which has sour cream in it - who knew). The pricing made...read full review
never seen what I had this morning called an omelet, a large flat piece of cooked egg layed on top of a pile of filling, not very hot, not an omelet for sure!
My child went out for breakfast and brought home the food and said I could have it,it was a ham and cheese omelet, the ham was just big chunks of slices ham and dried out with big chunks homefries the size of a small potato and burnt and hard black crust on the outside. I haven't eaten there in years and now I remember why. maybe the other stuff is good but how you mess up omelets and homefries as a breakfast place. No wonder he barely ate anything

Blue Benn is a charming diner that offers delicious food. The waitstaff is efficient and friendly, seating customers promptly. The menu features a variety of options, from classic egg dishes to unique creations like the Country Benedict. The diner also offers large portions of tasty and enjoyable dishes, such as the grilled sourdough cheese & tomato sandwich or the almond blueberry pancakes. Customers can pass the time by playing music on the tableside jukeboxes. The diner has an authentic atmosphere with an incredible breakfast menu all day. The energy in the kitchen is infectious, and the staff work quickly to serve piping hot food. The cook, who has been working there since he was 18, clearly enjoys what he does, which shows in the consistent quality of the meals. Visitors often experience a wait, especially around 11am, but it's well worth it. The menu also features vegan options, like the tofu scramble, which has a nice curry flavor and is mixed with mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli, and potatoes, served with dry bread. The home fries are the best around, made from fresh red potatoes with onions and peppers, grilled crispy brown. The friendly and attentive staff make sure every customer gets great service, even during busy times. Whether enjoying breakfast all day or trying a variety of dishes, guests leave satisfied and eager to return.
