Wanted to try Pearls. Told there was a 20-minute wait for outside seating only. Asked if we could get to go. Were told yes. Ordered. Two people stood from the bar and the waitress/hostess said we could squeeze in. Two women who had just parked and walked in (skipping the line) sat instead and I asked them if they had a reservation. They said no. I said, “we were next for seats, you passed the line.” I also let the waitress know who said “wow, they just got right in there.” I suggested she ask them to move. She went to the bar. I let the women know that were next and would appreciate being given the seats. They said “next for the bar?!” And turned around to ignore me. Waitress came back, shrugged, and said - I know they skipped you but they’re friends with TJ. And we won’t be back. 20+ years living here and hands down the worst restaurant service yet. But thrilled TJ’s guests will be providing the business we won’t be!

The candied bacon clothesline was Out Of This World!🚀 Never have I had bacon that was so thick, juicy and flavorful! Lighting it up at the table was a nice plus too. A sensory delight for sure! The bacon had the texture of the tenderest pot roast you've ever tasted. Loved it so much that I had to change my dinner order at the last minute to a Smoked Turkey BLT to get another bit of that bacon and I'm so glad that I did! Brought 1/2 of it home for hubby and he said it was the B.E.S.T. sandwich that he'd had in a long time. Seriously. The smoked turkey and that bacon...heaven. Huge stacked sandwich! Those spicy butter pickles were great too! Reminded me of my gramma's. PLUS ...the French Martini was absolutely sublime. Delish!💗 My compliments to the chef and the amazing staff. Thank you for a job well done! Bennington is lucky to have you!

The good: Nice space, good spirits.
The bad: Short opening hours (Wed- Fri, 12-3pm) and the closure of dining/food is disappointing. They used to book great local music.
A year ago, five stars. Today, just two because, see above. They still have great spirits but you'll have to buy them elsewhere since the tasting room is hardly ever open.

Everytime I have managed to make it there they are terrific... But they are hardly every open there hours are so limited it makes it a struggle to ever get there when they are open... I don't understand not being open on the weekend because as an industry person my self those are your bread and butter days.. like I said great food great spirits... But open the doors a little more.

Solid bourbon and great staff! Showed up as they were closing and they opened up to let me try a sample and sell me an amazing bottle of bourbon. Thanks!

On our way from PA to Stowe, we stopped at Village Garage. Emily, the Sever, was super friendly and sweet! The smash burger is a must here and the guava beer is great! Bourbon is young but tasty. We will definitely come back to this place next time!

Ordered an Cushman Cold Brew and it tastes even better than it looks. Also order arancini for the table and they melt in your mouth. Had chicken pot pie for lunch, it was delicious. Service was 12/10 and big shout out to the server/bartender Abbey!! She was tremendous at recommending drinks and food and was so fun to hangout with!
