The atmosphere, the service and the food were awesome. I like the fact that you can see the chefs cook your food while being at your table. I ordered the bread rolls as an appetizer and the hanger steak with crispy kale for my main. The bread was crispy outside and soft inside with a little honey butter. The steak was well seasoned and the kale was spectacular. The only bad thing I have to say is that the steak was a bit cold. I highly recommend and I hope I get the chance to...

Our waiter was very friendly and made great recommendations; cabbage Cesar-style, pressed braised pork with grainy mustard and home made focaccia, crudo, pasta dish. Everything was delicious.

We stayed in Burlington VT on our road trip specifically so we could try Hen of the Wood. So happy that we did! From atmosphere to service to the food it was all top notch.
