Being old we ate early. 5:00pm. Only two other tables for most of our meal, which was absolutely delicious. I had one of their specialties, calf's liver. Not a meal for everybody but as good as at our favorite Italian restaurant in Manhattan or as my Italian father made it. NYC prices but worth every penny. The wines that are sold by the glass are not usually top tier. The Pinot Noir that we had was. Strongly recommend eating here.
We love everything about the Dorset Inn restaurant. The food is consistently high quality and the service is always great when James is our server. The bartender knows how to make great cocktails and is knowledgeable about ever obscure drink requests. The dining room vs the tavern can seem stuffy at first, but when the fireplace is used, it feels warm and cozy.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Dorset Inn. The dinner and breakfast were really nice, and the rooms were very comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I lost a small item with sentimental value in my room, and they very kindly mailed it back to me.
