The Filling Station is a wonderful bar in White River Junction, Vermont, now under new ownership as of 2025. It is a local institution with beautiful happy folk, great drinks, and food. The menu is ever-changing, featuring everything from corn dogs to Belgian meatballs. The bar staff is the best, and events and theme nights happen throughout the week. Music night is special, with talented people playing fabulous toons. The interior is cozy, with iconic wood paneling and works from local artists. Service is very friendly, with the owners working in the kitchen, behind the bar, and on the floor. Prices are extremely reasonable, portions are filling, and quality is high. The only downside is the black drapes, which need changing to a brighter colour. Highly recommended.
