I went here in hopes of finding a spot that would give a true VT syrup experience. My expectations were exceeded! They offered 6 different types of syrups for free tastings: light, amber, dark, very dark, bourbon infused, and cinnamon infused. They were all fantastic. The maple icecream was reallyyy good- very balanced flavors and not overpowered by maple. The workers were also very nice and welcoming.

This was my Facebook post:
If you find yourself near Montpelier, Vermont, do yourself a favor and stop by Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks – just 2.7 miles from downtown. With over 200 years of maple syrup magic passed down through eight generations, this place is the real deal. The Morse family’s sugaring roots go way back to when Native Americans first taught their ancestors the art of tapping maple trees.

Notable:
•At the tender age of 80, a maple tree is old enough to tap
•It takes 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup.
•The variation in color is derived from the time of season you collect the sap; the lightest golden color with delicate taste is made at the beginning of season and the Very Dark color with strong taste is made at the end of season.
•The lightest golden color is mostly used as table syrup for pancakes, ice cream or yogurt, while the Very Dark is used in cooking and maple BBQ sauce or glaze for meats.

Trust me, you can't leave without trying their maple creemee – it’s maple soft-serve heaven and might just be the best in New England! Get it as a sundae - maple creemee with white cream and sprinkled with maple dust (the dehydrated maple sugar).

Whether you're there for the syrup, the stories, or just to soak up the Vermont vibes, Morse Farm is a must-visit, open year-round.

Cute little shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We got to do a small tasting of the different grades of their pure maple syrup. Ended up purchasing a handful of bottles to bring home to family! Also got to try their famous maple cremee. Without a doubt the best soft serve I've ever had! (bonus tip: try it with their "maple dust"). They had another shed a few yards from their main shop where you can watch a video on their history. We went on a cold day so it wasn't the best time to explore much of the grounds. But overall we loved our visit. If you enjoy maple you'll love this place.

Morse FAMILY farm was an absolute delight to visit. Watch the video introduction of the family and the farm in the woodshed then venture up the Sugar trail to see the tapping in person. Taste test different grades of maple syrup produced in the gift shop and buy wonderful pure maple syrup at farm prices.

We had a lovely visit to Morse farms! While there is no guided tour, you can watch an educational video about the history of the farm and the sugaring process. They offer free maple syrup tastings as well! Their maple cremee was definitely a highlight, best enjoyed while walking around the farm and taking in the beautiful views.

People are friendly, but very busy. Maple syrup only gets cooked in the spring. Only see video of it other times of year.

We had the most delicious maple creemees, with maple 'dust' sprinkled on top.

High quality maple syrup as well.

They have a beautiful outdoor seating area, with views of the fields and hills.

I was really disappointed I felt that they cater more towards those that arrive by bus or a tour. If your traveling by yourself you can taste the maple syrup but you won't be included in a tour of the place. I felt it was a wasted stop along the way I learned nothing about the farm.

My timing was not the best (happened to get there at the same time as two bus loads of tourists, and on a rainy day), but I still recommend a visit. The farm workers were as friendly and helpful as you'll ever see, and if you like all things maple, you'll have plenty of authentic products to choose from. I am not connected to this business in any way.

We had a great experience visiting the maple trail, watching the video from the family syrup makers, trying a creemee. The maple syrup tasting includes the 4 varieties made during the sugaring season.
