“What a special experience! This isn't just fine dining, it's a full on lovely experience that is worth every Penny! The food was as high quality as it gets, the service was as personalized and attentive as it gets and you couldn't be more comfortable and satisfied with every delicious sip and bite. Our DG dinner blew our expectations out of the snow!! We cannot wait to get back for our next special occasion.”
“Highly recommend. Best espresso, sandwich and vibe you’ll find for many miles. Felt lucky to have stopped in — I left feeling recharged and satisfied. Delicious & perfectly crafted!”
“I posted this review one years ago:The beef panini is so delicious!!!We visited Johny’s kitchen again when we pasted Ludlow. Still had the paninis: They are so delicious! I especially love the Vermont Panini. A must try in Ludlow.”
“Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! The food would've gotten 5 stars if my home fries hadn't been cold...eww to cold potatoes! A little pricey as breakfast for 2 was $60 without the ”
“Donna and Greg are great people! They make the experience there so much better! Any kind of food you like on their menu will be top notch! Highly recommend going there to everyone! Their specials are updated every week and they always have the best desserts too! 5+ stars!!”
“Excellent pizza. Busy even at 4pm. The pizza came out quick, hot, and delicious. The staff was efficient and very pleasant. I’m sure a bit later in the afternoon it will be very busy. Any wait though would be worth it. Their wood fired pizza is excellent. The beer was cold and draft.Kid-friendliness: Pretty relaxed atmosphere. Some of the table/chair sets were old chair lifts. And there’s a pool table.”
“I have purchased cookies here before but today bought some for my Aunt in Rutland and bought some Oatmeal Raisin for my family. Flat out the best, lightest, most delicious OR cookie ever. Will stop in every time I go to Rutland. Thank you!”
“Title: Cozy Delights at Waffle Cabin ☕️Review:Waffle Cabin is a delightful little store nestled right in the heart of a Okemo ski resort, offering the perfect combination of hot drinks and delicious waffles. Its convenient location makes it an ideal spot for skiers and snowboarders to take a break and indulge in some warm, comforting treats. The aroma of freshly made waffles paired with a selection of hot beverages is just what you need on a cold day on the slopes. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a moment to relax and warm up, Waffle Cabin is the go-to place. A must-visit for anyone hitting the slopes and in need of a tasty, heartwarming break! But it’s a-bit expensive”
“Grabbed a smash burger. It was absolutely amazing! The food truck is right across my shop so I decided to give it a try, and I am glad I did!My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and that’s ? too!Great staff, friendly and very fast service!”
“Ended up here on a whim and, while very casual (you order and they bring out food to you), it was a great experience! Super friendly staff, great menu, delicious food, and all for a great price. Checks all the boxes! The tacos (we got one of each) were all stellar and we ended up getting the churro chips and key lime pie for dessert, which I wouldn't sleep on! The ramen looked top tier as well. If you're looking for quick, kid-friendly, delicious spot, don't pass it up!!”
“Great home cooked meals to go. I made the mistake of trying just a little bite of the dessert (Belgium choc coconut sea salt graham cracker thing) on the drive home. Needless to say, it didn’t make it home. Wish I had time to turn around and get another one!”
“Favorite Irish pub in Ludlow. Great food and atmosphere. Competition wings can't be beat. Always love to stop by KillarneyParking: Parking attendant on hand to help with parking. Might have to park at firehouse about a 2 minute walk.”
“Wendy at Stemwinder catered my son’s wedding for 100 people and the food was amazing! The appetizers were raved about…especially the mini pizza bites. The grilled marinated short ribs were so tender and juicy and incredibly flavorful! And the dirty potatoes were so tasty! The staff was so friendly and courteous to our guests! And Wendy was so flexible and easy to work with during our planning! I highly recommend Stemwinder for catering!Vegetarian options: Stemwinder also made sure we had plenty to eat for our gluten free and vegetarian guests!”
“This is 1 of 2 coffee shop in town, so you don’t have many options. With that being said, the coffee is okay and it’s over priced. They’re not transparent with pricing, so best to ask prior to ordering. I got a large flat white and it was 90% milk which was all I tasted. To the best of my understanding the larger you go in size, the more espresso you add but I think they give the same quantity of espresso for small or large so save your money and just get small. This place is a combination with a real estate firm, so getting any quality work done is difficult with others hovering over you to see listings. There’s plenty of spaces and area to place these listing ads away from tables. Not the best set up for the comfort of their coffee patrons. But if you’re looking for a caffeine kick at a late hour, this will be the spot since they close at 5pm.Kid-friendliness: It’s a coffee shop, kicks are welcomedWheelchair accessibility: No stairs, so it’s wheelchair friendly”
“Fantastic place! We had Saturday brunch with our kids and the service was impeccable, from the moment we stepped in until we left. Food was amazing as well, and the location on the water is beautiful.”
“Best dive bar.Loaded nachos are definitely more than dive bar, full of pickled onions, tin sliced jalapeños, and very good Chili hit the spot imidietly after ling day on the slopes.Pizza was so good I was not fast enough to take a photo.Very thin dough with charred ends was a big hit for sure.Buffalo wings didn't disappoint, and arugula salad, although there was too much dressing in it, was very fresh and satisfying. My husband loved his unfiltered English aleGreat food, great and fast service. Very satisfied.”
“It's dimly lit, with stamped metal ceiling tiles and pictures paying homage to the Godfather movie on the wall. Our server, Jess, was terrific - super fast, friendly and attentive even though there was a party of 14 in our section. The specials are written on a white board that is hilariously toted from table to table. Thankfully, we got to order our entrees while they were working on appetizers. Hubby ordered a tasty Upper Pass IPA, I had the glass of Terrazas Los Andes Malbec, which was fruity and full, and not too acidic. A big basket of rolls was brought out. Jess had to warn us that they were really hot. Who doesn't love hot fresh rolls served with a bowl full of butter whipped into clouds??! Salads weren't unique, but they were crisp, cold, and fresh. I ordered the haddock with crabmeat stuffing. The haddock was delicious, but I was hoping for more crabmeat - there was some under the breadcrumb top, just not a lot. Pro tip: keep the whipped butter on the table for your baked potato. Hubby got the Black Angus prime rib because, according to Jess, they don't have it every day - only when the prime rib flag is out front. I think only Fridays and Saturdays. It was tender and cooked very nicely. Hubby wasn't disappointed. The best dish was the daughter's Crispy 1/2 Duck - the skin, indeed was crackling crispy. It was served with cherries in a wine reduction, which my daughter didn't need or want with her meal, but my husband and I helped ourselves - they were yummy. We can't tell you about dessert because we didn't order any - we were stuffed. Everything was delicious and nicely done. Kudos to Jess and team!”
“I don't know what else to say, besides best Waffles, hands down. I'm specifically referring to the one on the Clock Tower side that's between the green trails, just above sunburst six lift. It's $7, so that's ridiculous, but still eat one.”
“Everything we ate was just decent. Generals chicken had good flavor, but texture on breading wasn't the best. Same for fried pork dumpling. Good filling but no sear. The chef was pushing out food like crazy, so that has something do with it. Four stars for being ski town Chinese. 3 stars elsewhere. Wonton soup was delicious. Crab Rangoon may have been the best bites. Also had Hunan beef and Chicken-Amazing. Those two were lackluster. Sorry for no photos! We were starving.Note- This is 95% to-go business. They have two 4-tops in the restaurant, but that's it. Only service commitment is extra plates and plastic ware if you dine in.Hospitality was good. Prices fair.”
“We absolutely loved this place during our recent getaway to Vermont. We ended up going twice because the wings & pulled pork (had both the sandwich & Mac n cheese) are to DIE for. If you’re ever at Okemo Mountain or around Ludlow, it’s a must go! Servers are also very kind & hard working.”
“This is the best chain restaurant in Rutland. I have never left here disappointed or unhappy. The food is always done the way I want it. The deserts are delicious. Bar menu is the standard fare. Family dining is nice. They are always attentive and pleasant with my child. A very nicely run chain restaurant that makes me feel welcome. We go here a couple times a month, And have been for many years.”
“Ate here last night and it was SO GOOD!! We’ve always loved the food but it’s even better now! I had the scallops and risotto and my husband had the sausage penne. Both were delicious! I’m still thinking about it a day later. And the staff is amazing! Please go! You’ll be so happy you did.”
“Stopped for a quick lunch on the way home. Great hot sandwiches. I had the meatball and sausage sandwich. The sauce had a good spicy kick and the bread was just the right balance of toasted yet soft. We come back next time for sure!”
“The service is very quick, the food is amazing, and prices are very good for what you get. This is a staple stop any time we visit the area. It's always good.”
“First experience was very good. I had their Athena Grain Bowl and it was packed full of healthy grains, Arugula, feta cheese and other veggies, with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. Powered me the entire afternoon, till the lifts shutdown!”
“This is my every morning stop on my way to work and I just want to say how pleasant everyone at this location is. The manager and staff always do the best they can do even in busy situations and still work with a smile on their faces even when this location is busy due to the heavy amount of tourists. The staff are all wonderful and such a pleasant group of faces to see first in the morning. Thank you for all you guys do, your great!Kid-friendliness: Whenever my kids come in with me they always make sure to greet them also, it’s nice to see them acknowledged also”
“Great music and atmosphere ! Nicest and hard working waiter ever, able to satisfy all our requests ! And even the food was great: such a crispy fish and chips, tasty homemade flatbread and decadent dessert!”
“first time eating here by far the best food i’ve had for breakfast in awhile easy over eggs were perfect matter the fact we came here at 11pm pancakes were phenomenal hash browns were pristine service was by denise and best i could ask for.”
“Great servers, great food! I asked for a different drink because mine tasted fermented and was given a different lemonade without issue. Also out of the many Panera breads I have visited this one by far has the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen!”
“High end on mountain lunch, food delicious but a tad overpriced, wait staff very friendly and tentative. Great craft beer selection on tap. Get there before noon rush or will have to wait a while as gets crowded quickly.”
