“For someone who has visited many specialty coffee shops across the US, Catalyst is a gem in St Albans.The cappuccinos are awesome, and they even have some great espresso bean options for home.Will be revisiting when passing through St Albans.”

“Red House Sweets and Catalyst Coffee Bar are by far the ultimate combo - if you’re looking for some of the BEST pastries you have ever tasted as well as the best coffee anywhere in this whole area of Vermont, look no further!! Both places share the same space with separate counters, and you’re going to want to get things from both. Red House Sweets has an amazing selection of pastries and desserts, and many gluten-free options as well! I absolutely love the orange cardamom croissant - I don’t know what they do to make it, but it’s definitely in the top 5 best single pastries I have ever had in my whole life. I also love their kouign-amann as well!! These are both must-trys if you’re looking for something sweet. Honestly though, everything looks incredible. All the croissants, the focaccia, cakes, tarts, and so on would be so worth trying. I guess I gotta keep coming back to try it all!! Also, I want to give a special nod to the person working behind the counter. She was so upbeat and friendly and made the vibe of the place so much better. This place really is something special and I highly recommend visiting next time you’re in St. Albans!!!”

“We travel to this area to try lots of different food. This place had fantastic reviews. So 4 sets of our group went up over the period of a week. Every single one of us had an amazing meal. “We've been here twice now. Each time was delicious! Bacon wrapped scallops are amazing and melt in your mouth. Baked haddock for lunch is sublime and also melts in your mouth. Fried fish burger is my teenage son's preferred dish and says he it's the best he's ever had. My daughter who is 12 (and adores seafood) loves the fried scallops and grilled salmon. Creme Brulee is my go-to desert and is fantastic.Service is attentive, quick and friendly. Do make a reservation to ensure a spot for lunch as it does get busy during the weekdays that they are open. Probably the best restaurant in town. We are making it a point to include eating here on our travels into Vermont from Montreal when we can.”

Sharing the best maple crème brûlée added a layer of greatness.If one is open to drinks while waiting and inclined to Maker's Mark, then the Maple Thyme would be a good choice.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF options.”

“I try to stop at least twice a week. Pricing is on par, The deli is the main reason to check it out. Best sandwichs in Franklin county, if not Vermont. The portions are very large, the staff is super friendly. Amazing local products. And always remember to stop at the bakery for the best sweets around. “I was able to snag a Valentine’s Day basket SUPER last minute! Katrina accommodated my request and boy am I glad that she did! Everything was AMAZING! Chocolate covered strawberry’s that were so sweet and delish.. Oreo balls mmmmm the pretzels were a hit with my kiddos! But her raspberry filled cookies.. took me back to my days spent with my grandmother baking her cookies! Katrina I’m so proud of you and everything you are doing for Your family and the community! “We got takeout here over the weekend. The price was quite good. The mu shu vegetables and the vegetable rice were surprisingly bland. The cheese raggoons were good. The spring roll was as to be expected. The dumplings were really quite good. The tempura cheesecake was good but heavy as I would expect. The tempura vegetables were good as were the sweet potato and vegetarian California roll sushi that we got. The seaweed salad was also quite good.”

“What a fun place! The speakeasy entrance is so cool and I love the dim-lighting, cozy vibe of the establishment. You can't go wrong eating here. It has the same great menu, food, and drink offerings as Twiggs next door (they are both connected and under the same ownership), but The Clothier is often not as busy and it has different music and a more relaxed atmosphere. There's a free pool table and darts in the back room. The service and food was always A+. I wish I didn't live 8 hours away from this place, otherwise I would be a frequent patron.”

“In had a great visit. Many reviews seem to focus on the food. I tend to pay more attention to the ambiance. Nelly’s is the best neighborhood bar I’ve been to. Lots of patrons. Many seem to know each other, leading to lively banter at the bar.I had so much fun soaking it all in, I stayed for an extra Bud!Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was generous in size and tasted great.Highly recommended!Parking: This is an urban location, so parking can be challenging. On street parking is 2 hours, but I think it’s free after hours. In the early evening when I went, there was plenty of parking.”

I placed my order by phone, the person was so helpful and patient in answering my questions and they went out of their way to help with my mobility issues and when I got home, I was so pleased that the order was right and SO DELICIOUS! THANK YOU!!! Probably see you again VERY soon. Lol.Parking: They would probably have a lot more business if they changed location. The parking is tricky, especially for handicapped people. My DREAM would be they offer a drive-thru. Lol. We'd order from there at LEAST once a week.”

We arrived for an early dinner and were lucky to get a table as the restaurant quickly filled up.I look forward to trying out more of the menu, I had a hard time choosing because everything sounded so good! It’s evident that these folks care about every aspect of the dining experience, and I’m already planning my next visit!”

“Got some frozen coffee today (11/26/23). Luckily not busy when I came. It’s always busy and theres always a line on the drive thru every time I drive by. They’re always out of the double chocolate donuts! Just always double check your orders!”

“Employee was awesome but the fact there is only one person working on a Saturday night is ridiculous. Not because I had to wait but because there were so many mobile orders and walk ins I felt horrible for the employee, I just wanted to jump back there and help her. I've worked in food service and I know how stressful it can be and I am pretty positive she isn't getting paid enough.”
