Food was very good, except for dessert. Expecting a buttercream frosting on carrot cake, got some oily substitute with gloss but little flavor. The cake also was sort of bland. The tables are too small the two with the number of plates served. Making the meal crowded. The waitress was attentive, a plus. The food was grand, especially necessary given today's prices.
Service was excellent. Food was ok. Scallops were wonderful, shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, and both our porterhouse steaks were way undercooked. It can happen and we want to chalk it up as a one off. Our first time here. We may be back to try again.

The service is always excellent! The food is amazing,portions are huge . The atmosphere is wonderful. We have been here three times each time getting something different for food never a disappointment. We will be back with more people, so they can enjoy Black Rock Steakhouse
