What an unexpected delicious dinner! When we walked in and were told it would be a two hour wait on a Tuesday Night, we knew this place must be good. Luckily, we snagged two seats at the end of the bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely scrumptious. I stopped in Stowe mid-road trip after a long and challenging but rewarding NH White Range experience and was in much need of some shelter, food, and drink. I first stopped at Rimrock's Mountain Tavern and the vibe was very strange. So I left after a beer and came to Doc's. What a difference in atmosphere and people! We easily placed ourselves on the No Wait app and were seated immediately when we got there. I had an excellent salmon dish and my husband enjoyed his burger. We loved the music which was played from records and enjoyed the overall vibe. When back in Stowe, we would visit again.
