We had a large party for dinner but made a reservation ahead of time so they knew we were coming. The inside was cozy and very cute, so we were excited! However, our waiter didn’t have the best service - we tried to order an appetizer and he told us the kitchen was backed up so we shouldn’t order an appetizer. We ordered a bottle of wine and he brought the wrong bottle out. It took a while to get our drinks and felt like we weren’t checked on a ton. We ordered our food and it took nearly 2 hours to come out. Someone in our party can’t eat gluten and we told the waiter this, but then his plate came out with breadcrumbs all over everything. The waiter did fix that dish and didn’t charge us for it, but it took a long time to get his attention/he never once checked on us. It seemed like the waiter’s first day. Overall, we were dissatisfied by the lack of service - even if the kitchens are backed up, just coming over to check on us every now and then would’ve been better. We talked to the manager about our situation and he was extremely condescending. He said he would adjust our bill and only took off the things the waiter messed up. The food was okay but probably not worth the price. This place is fine, but wouldn’t be my first choice again.

The bar area is so updated and just beautiful. A great lively atmosphere. There are TVs to watch those very necessary football games. And plenty of windows to take in the winter wonderland which always seem to be outside!

This restaurant is inside a bed and breakfast/hotel and is very beautifully decorated. Our reservation was for 7:15, we were promptly seated and given menus. Since we had some appetizers apres ski, we decided to just order main dishes. My husband got the osso bucco, I ordered the flank steak and my daughter the rigatoni. After an extremely long wait, we finally received our food - probably an hour after we sat down. My husband and daughter seemed satisfied with their dishes (although I felt her pasta was very al dente). My steak was supposed to be medium but came well (zero pink). I am not one to send anything back, but since it was my 50th birthday, I decided I should be happy with my dish. I encouraged my family to continue eating thinking that it would only be 10 min (or less) to fire up a new flank steak. I was served at least another 20-30 min later. My family was finished eating at that point and it was getting late. The steak was served medium and had a nice crust on it but could have used some salt. It was kind of our waiter to take off 25% of my dish, although in hindsight, they should have taken the dish off the bill entirely. We did not leave until after 9pm and my birthday (noted in the reservation) was not even acknowledged. I was most disappointed in how long it took for the kitchen to churn out 3 dishes when there were only 2 other groups in this dining room. In addition, if you're going to charge $44 for a simple pasta dish and you're not located in a major metropolitan area (NY/Philly/Chicago) it better be off the charts. Sadly, it was not. Unfortunately, I would neither recommend this restaurant nor return.

There was 4 of us for dinner for 5:00 pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant we sat down and this rude waiter was rushing us to order , we didn't even look at the menu! He kept coming back so we ordered. Then we didn't see him for a long time so when the food came out it was so cold we sent it back Because of his attitude we told him to keep it so we paid the bill he came over and challenged the tip! What's wrong he said was there something wrong with my service we said we didn't see you half the night the food is cold and very salty. He said out loud in front of everybody to get out leave right now a few times we were so embarrassed he was yelling at the top of his lungs. We've been coming there for 8 years and the service and food has always been wonderful.

Clara’s Cucina is a wonderful Italian restaurant tucked away in the beautiful White House Inn. Perfect for an elevated date night, birthday celebration or anniversary. The staff is wonderful and all of the bartenders are great. They make the best cocktails! Great spot for a nice dinner in VT!

We had a lovely birthday dinner and the food was delicious. The Osso Bucco and Chicken Parmesan were outstanding, as was the fresh bread and soup of the day. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back!

The Meal was absolutely delightful . They were unfortunately short staffed do we did have to wait for service to begin. However it was well worth the wait and the dining room was a good choice quiet beautiful white table cloth tables and subtle lighting . We were treated with great service and everything was fresh . The taverns is a bit noisy but for fine dining you fo have a choice and bring seated next to a fireplace was a bonus . I would definitely return and absolutely recommend to anyone traveling in the area for fine dining .

Great spot, warm and attentive service, fantastic cocktails, and a phenomenal meal! The terrace/indoor bar area is absolutely beautiful, although we opted for the dining room for a quieter meal, and it was perfect too. Our servers were so great, helpful and friendly and very funny. Cocktails were SO good. We had the Cacio e Pepe Linguini with grilled chicken (delicious and unique) and the Seared Dry Sea Scallops (the most incredible dish I've has in years!) and a great Caesar salad. The espresso martini and dark chocolate gelato were a sweet ending to a perfect romantic dinner. Highly recommend!

I thought my pappardelle carbonara was perfetto. I like my pasta al dente and this one as well as my husband's linguine with his chicken parm were good. The staff were all friendly. We had the fig and hot honey flatbread. I wasn't a fan of the honey. It tasted more like a vinegary sugar syrup to me. Mike's Hot Honey is my preferred hot honey so I was comparing to that. But we ate the whole thing. It is expensive for So. VT so we will return only when we need good Italian because there is nothing comparable in the area.
