“I had an omelet which was very fluffy although they didn't hurt themselves with the goodies inside. I opted to swap the pancakes for potatoes. These were the best breakfast taters I've had in Wa so far. If only Wa chefs would discover adding onion to potatoes! My wife had the pigs in a blanket which she said was very good. Service was excellent. There was a 20-30 minute wait. The room has horrific acoustics, so it was quite loud.“

“We lived, year around, 17 + years in Southern Arizona and know the great quality Mexican restaurant cuisine very well, especially from the best in the city of South Tucson. In Whatcom County, I added the New Mexico Tamale Company as the very best place to buy tamales when you don’t have the time nor skills to make your own. It’s. est to pre-order, about 2 weeks ahead, for your order to be filled. Suggestion: When placing your order, request them to add more Santa Fe mild chile puree to the selected meat or chicken product or they might be on the dry side when re-heated (steamed). Excellent service. Good quality. Their tamales are well balanced between the filling and the masa. The secret to evaluating good tamales from bad ones is whether the company mixes an adequate amount of red chile puree to the masa when mixing, to enhance the full flavor profile. The New Mexico Tamale Company does it right! Theirs are very close to the way we used to make our beef tamales at home (we usually made 12 dozen every November, for the freezer. RATING: 4.9 stars out of 5.0 stars. Give them a try, you will return for more, again and again. Would they survive in South Tucson? Absolutely !“

The red sauce is well balanced and flavorfull, exactly what I was craving. Great selection on tap, something for every taste. “This place always hits the spot for me. I lived a 2 minute walk from here as a 19 year old college kid in 2013 and would frequently stop to grab dumplings here. I just moved back to whatcom county recently and stopped by today for the first time since moving back. It is EXACTLY the same and I love that. They may have only 2 options, but that's all they need. I would also pay good money for the recipe of their hot sauce. I could literally drink it, it's that good.“

The owners are just awesome people and the atmosphere is laid-back and very comfortable. “It’s tucked away in an industrial area, but don’t let that turn you off. Some of the best spots are hidden—and this is definitely one of them. The Pineapple Habanero cider is freaking hot. If you’re into heat, it’s awesome. If not, there’s plenty of other solid options to try.

Chill, cozy vibe with a ton of outdoor seating. There was a pizza truck parked out front, snacks inside, and even cider slushies (yes, really). Super welcoming space—dogs, kids, families, everyone’s good here. It’s also clearly LGBTQ+ friendly, which is always great to see. Just an all-around inclusive and relaxed atmosphere.

They’ve got local art for sale, some cool merch, and they actively support other small businesses and community groups. The cider tender was friendly and knew their stuff without being pushy.
