The experience with the new ownership is quite disappointing compared to what Chavo's used to be. Yes, changes can be expected when a business is sold. However, the food and salsas taste much more bland and are now 25% more expensive. Instead of a taqueria vibe, it feels much more like a sit down restaurant. I don't think the name should have transferred with the new ownership because unfortunately, Taqueria El Chavo died when the business sold. Just don't expect the old Chavo's experience when visiting.“
