“Small tap room, but comfortable, helpful staff, good beer and pizza!
We stopped here on our way to a show at the Gorge Ampitheater for a quick meal.
Was 2 pm on a Friday so wasn't busy, but had some steady customers coming and going. Beer was good and was able to try a few. We loved that they also had a wide cider selection.
Pizzas were great and the leftovers made from some great late night snacking while exiting the Gorge at midnight!
We even ended up walking out with a bit of swag. Nice find in a bit of an out of the way location.
They had a nice patio, but, when we were there it was chilly and windy so we elected to stay inside.
Oh, and, apparently they do some of the manufacturing for Locust cider, so you know the stuff they had on tap was great!“

“Great decor and history, decent dinner prices for most items and good options, excellent food and service. Food arrived hot, not sitting and lukewarm. Chili gas good flavor and a small kick. Spaghetti is well drained so no watered down sauce and the meat sauce is excellent. Utensils are clean with no water spots and not cheap bendy type. Highly recommend the 1.4mi off I90 for a bite!“

“I ordered several pizzas for my team’s annual (late) holiday party, and they did not disappoint! The pizza was delicious, and who I believe to be the owner who took our order was incredibly kind and thoughtful. We have an employee who is vegan, and he went out of his way to help—he even made one of the pizzas half cheese so they could join in, and then included an additional vegan pizza on the house just to make sure they were taken care of. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the genuine care they showed really stood out. We’ll definitely be ordering from them again!“

“Red Horse Diner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 9/19/22, I visited Red Horse Diner in Ellensburg, Washington for the first time. I had a favorite restaurant that I used to always stop at in Ellensburg on my way back home, but it closed.  I think I may have found my new favorite. Originally, the site where the diner now sits was a gas station, one car, garage, and home built in 1936. The gas station owners lived on the property as was customary back in the day. The Crossett family purchased the property in 1996 and made it what it is today. Red Horse Diner is like taking a step back in time to a cool roadside diner.  The walls and ceilings are full of vintage memorabilia from the service station’s past.  There are several different rooms with all kinds of seating arrangements.  There is also a beautiful outdoor dining area. Even if you choose to dine inside, you must take a walk through the property out back. They have yard games. You can rent it out for private parties. Red Horse Diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  There are lots of options to choose from, but they were best known for their burgers. I ordered The Patty Wagon ($17) - 1/3 lb. Patty with Grilled Onions and Swiss Cheese on Toasted Rye. My server highly recommended the onion rings, so I paid a slight up charge to substitute. It was the best patty melt, and onion rings that I’ve had an ages! Attached to the diner, is the Nodding Donkey Bar. Happy Hour is every day from 12 PM to 2 PM, and again from 4 PM to 6 PM. On Friday nights, they have live music. Saturday is Karaoke Night. In addition to being a great roadside diner and bar, Red Horse Diner is an important part of the community, as the back hall wall, which is full of cards, letters, and other acknowledgments, will attest to. Red Horse Diner is a popular gathering place for a car clubs, motorcycle groups, and families.  Red Horse Diner hosts classic car shows. They have an annual motorcycle event the first weekend in May called The Iron Horse Trail Motorcycle Show, which features live music, motorcycle stunts and competitions. They have a very active Facebook page where they share past and upcoming events. Be sure to check it out. Highly Recommended!!! 1518 W. “The food and service is always amazing I just wish they updated the hours on Facebook, I been by three times in the last couple weeks when it says they would be open and they were closed. Also it still says they are parked in front of central smoke shop but they have been parked next to the new Warriors station for over a year now.“

We ordered the hungry mother burgers, which were perfection, great char, melty cheese everywhere, veggies perfectly balanced the double patties and were only ~11$

“Pedro made my wife and I the best margaritas we’ve ever had yesterday!! I am not exaggerating and neither was my wife. The food was also delicious but the margaritas were outstanding! And they were on happy hour! We live in the Seattle area but we’ll be back! If you go, ask for Pedro to make you a margarita. You won’t be sorry.“
