Tacos JR Mexican Food offers a variety of dishes with outdoor seating and a drive-thru. Their hard shell beef tacos are a highlight, made with high-quality, non-ground beef. The mulitas with carnitas are also praised as fantastic. The taco shells and shredded beef are especially appreciated, and the rice and beans are affordable and tasty. The restaurant has a huge menu that includes items from tamales to burritos, and the service is quick and friendly. Customers enjoy the affordable prices, often noting how fast and delicious their food is, with some saying they would gladly pay more for the quality. The place is highly recommended, especially for Taco Tuesdays when tacos are only $1. The enchilada platter and carnitas combo platter are also popular choices, with the crispy carnitas receiving positive comments. Overall, Tacos JR Mexican Food is a great option for a quick, delicious meal in Des Moines.
