Just finished a big hike and am staying at a hotel before flying out and decided to give this a try. I.do.not.regret.it.

The chicken tandoori pizza was a fantastic example of creative fusion. My buddy and I destroyed a large in 10 minutes.

Wish I was in town another night to try a different pizza!

We were staying near the airport and looking for something better than fast food. That’s when we found this family-owned spot and we’re so happy we did. Lilly, the owner, chatted with us and shared how she treats every customer like family. You can tell she genuinely cares about the food, the people, and the experience :) Everything was made fresh and tasted amazing! We even grabbed more to go. If you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth a stop!! 🍕

We really enjoyed the tasty pizza and the cozy vibe. The gluten-free dough was surprisingly good, one of the best we’ve had! Definitely a place we’d love to come back to.

This place is under rated for sure! Delicious food with great service! Prices were super low as well, especially for the quality! 100/10 would go here again! With one medium pepperoni pizza and and order of cheesy bread three adults (and a toddler) were able to leave happily well fed!

Big raw onions in the pizza, not grilled. The taste is not good, either. I ordered because the reviews were good. I am disappointed.

Fabulous pizza! Never driving back there again. I will wait until there’s delivery. It looks like a cozy little place with a full bar and a decent back bar. The toppings were generous and the crust was crispy/chewy like fresh naan. The order happened SO fast!

Here’s the sad part. It had been sitting there for 5 minutes while I circled the block twice, looking for the 3 “retail parking” spots that are poorly marked, compact car-sized only, and had a confusing sign about the hours retail parking was even allowed. At least the pizza was kept hot until I got there. It was worth the effort at least this once, it was so darn good.

BTW, everyone, the parking spots are BEHIND the building, on the EAST side (uphill) of Pacific Highway / International Blvd. Go into the entrance off S. 220th St. There is nowhere on Pac Hwy to pull over, not even for 60 seconds. There is a tiny driveway in the middle of the block, but I wouldn’t try to slow down for a right turn there because it’s the HOV bus lane. If you miss it, turn right on 216th, then right again on 29th. There’s an entrance from 29th Ave S, although it’s not a straight shot down to the building.

I think this restaurant would be a great place to hang out, if you’re a pedestrian or lived in the apartment complex. But trying to do a takeout pick-up order took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I know that businesses in commercial locations like this are at the mercy of the apartment management company. I used to live in a mixed-use building with apartments over the commercial spaces in the city. It was convenient because it was literally next a light rail station, so you don’t have to cross the street and dodge traffic on one of the busiest streets in south Seattle. Now I know that is child’s play compared to Pac Hwy, state Highway 99, where traffic is going 40-50 mph across 6 lanes of a divided road. The building I lived in was a single, standalone apartment building, not a mega-complex, spanning 2 blocks and 3 tiers on the east side of Highway 99.

I’ll keep an eye out for when delivery becomes available or have someone drop me off at the Burger King parking lot next to it. The pizza is good enough that I’ll pay the extra 20% to have someone bring it to me in a location with less traffic.

Our order was incorrect and the Pizza was bland and had too much bread, but more concerning was the racist experience my friend had there. The person helping him was disregarding and rudely questioned why he was picking up pizza and required his wife to step in.

Okay, let me just say—this place has a whole vibe. The second you walk in, you can feel the difference. It’s not cold or echoey like some pizza spots… it’s warm, cozy, and honestly just feels like somewhere you wanna chill. The lights, the music, the setup—it’s giving welcoming, not rushed.

Now the pizza? Bussin'. They’ve got flavors with flair—like little global twists that make you go “wait, why don’t more places do this?” There’s even dairy-free pizza that actually slaps, and the crust? Chef’s kiss. Everything’s made with love, you can taste it.

There’s a cute bar with fun drinks, and it’s not just about the food either—this spot feels like it’s part of the community. I’ve seen little events, people vibing, good convos happening. It’s one of those places you end up staying longer at without meaning to.

If you’re in Des Moines, don’t sleep on Tandoori Slice. Trust me—you’ll come for the pizza and stay for the feel.
