“An authentic little piece of Oaxaca in Wenatchee!

We recently visited Fonda Oaxaqueña in East Wenatchee and were delighted with the quality and authenticity of their Mexican food. I ordered the chicken with Oaxacan mole, and it was a delicious experience. The dish came with half a chicken topped with a rich, authentic mole that evoked the traditional flavors of Oaxaca. The accompanying rice was just as authentic, with a flavor rarely found in Mexican restaurants in the United States, and the beans were perfectly prepared. The large, warm, soft tortillas complemented the dish perfectly.

For his part, Fernando ordered the meat fajitas, and was very satisfied with the quality and preparation. The meat was tender and well seasoned, accompanied by a complete side dish that included salad, rice, beans, cream and guacamole. Everything was well presented and in generous portions.

We found the price reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the exceptional service. The waiter was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more pleasant. In addition, the atmosphere of the place is charming, with details such as the hand-painted wooden Mexican chairs that provide an authentic and cozy touch.

Definitely, when we return to Wenatchee, Fonda Oaxaqueña will be a mandatory stop to enjoy this excellent food again.“

“We lost our Taco Time. So, every time we're in Wenatchee, we stop there. I guess they're considered fast food, but out of the restaurants in Wenatchee, we go there. We miss Taco Time. This place really makes us miss them when we get home. They do a great job at this location.“

“I've been going here for many years and with the convenience and the great horchata I like it. There are no prices next to menu items but then again inflation is going up hourly, directly proportionate to quantity of brain cells that Biden has dying ....you never know what to charge in this economy anymore. I've tried many of the menu items which are tasty and the beans and rice are good. The extra salad bar on the side with the jalapenos and grilled onions is really a treat. The only item I did not enjoy was the carne asada it tasted gamey and lacked a grilled flavor“
