Was out of food by 2pm on a Tuesday, even though open till 3.30. Wasn't serving coffee. The rolls they had left were ok, but not great. Good crust, unremarkable flavor.

Locals go here for high quality imported deli items and great baked goods made on site. The makings of many fabulous picnics can be got here. Don't tell the tourists (unless they're cool)!

Great breads with flavors that I liked, good service.

I bought a hearth loaf, and it was the most delicious bread I've ever had !!!

The Duffins were my favorite, but everything was good. 4 stars because one of the guys needs to work on his people skills.

Good sandwiches large wine selection however sandwich options are from a very selective few that are NOT customizable

Done with Roses. It's hard to call it quits after a decade plus of wonderful loaves and breakfasts every time we come to Orcas, but the attitude from staff the last few visits has been gross. For us, every visit to the rest of the island feels like catching up with old friends you haven't seen in a while; Staff at Roses makes you feel like your lucky to be in their presence. No thanks.

Delicious sandwiches! Great to pack for a hike or take down to the picnic tables by the water on a nice day. Great wine selection as well

Hands down the best place to grab a bite on Orcas Island. Can't miss it if you're in town.

Bread and pastries = excellent.Customer service = rude and condescending.Based on other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who experienced this. ?

The Cucumber side is delish a dose of spice with the crisp of cucumber add in a touch of tart with the Champagne vinegar. The English Pea Hummus Sandwich is mouth watering!!! The bread adds crunch to complement the smooth hummus. Went back two times in a row it was so good!!

The food is good, not great, albeit expensive. But that’s expected for high-quality local ingredients on an island. But the staff is rude and condescending. I thought maybe I caught them on a bad day. But I can see from quite a few other reviews that this is typical of the experience here. It’s too bad because it ruins the experience and I won’t be back.I live locally and visit the San Juans frequently. But I’ll plan to spend my money at many of the other high-quality, delightful small businesses in town.

Whenever I visit Orcas, I always save a meal for Roses. I can't recommend a certain dish because everything I've had has been delicious. You can taste the quality & freshness of the ingredients in every bite. My absolute favorite is their olive oil cake. They have a great selection pantry items attached to the restaurant as well. Orcas is a special place, where they value quality and intention (in my opinion). Maybe that's why some people have gotten the "pretentious" vibe; they're not interested in fast & cheap service.
