Had the food been better they would have gotten a higher score. Service was OUTSTANDING. The culotte steak was beyond tough. Took me a LONG time to chew through the first piece. Tried another bite and same thing. The whole steak was one thick piece of leather - inedible. Kale salad had excellent flavor but huge chunks of un-massaged kale required a LOT of chewing. Wine list was meh. I should have complained about the steak but I was there with friends and didn't want to upset...
When we first got seated it took a while before the server finally came over but then she took our drink, appetizer and food orders and it wasn't that long before we had drinks and appetizers. The food was amazing. Everything from appetizers, main courses and desserts were absolutely delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful. And the ambiance is always so nice and relaxing. Love this place.
Epulo has a fabulous menu. If you love spicy Italian this is an especially great menu. We found the noise challenging to hear one another (and are not hard of hearing) as the surfaces are hard. I'd recommend sitting outdoors! Wish they had a broader/more interesting wine by the glass menu. Fabulous desserts, save room!
