“If you haven’t been to Battles Kitchen yet… run, don’t walk. I swear, I’ve tried something new every single time we’ve gone, and every time I leave wondering why we didn’t find this place sooner. The owner? Absolute gem of a human. The food? Straight up from another planet. So far I’ve had the crawfish boil, seafood boil, Cajun tenders, shrimp po’ boy, lemon cake, banana pudding, peach cobbler, lemon pepper wings, and beignets and every single bite has been perfection. I would gladly go broke buying dinner and dessert here every day if I could. If you haven’t tried them yet, you are 100% missing out. They never disappoint. Ever.”

“Up here visiting my birth mom who is undergoing cancer tratements. While she was at the doctor (girl thing) I tried out Al’s . GREAT breakfast sandwich, three kinds of hot sauce and fast service at lunch Sadly , there will come a time, hopefully much later rather than sooner where I’ll be up here to settle affairs. “Not just the best food in Ferndale, but all of Whatcom County. Me and 6 of my friends came in last weekend, 30 mintues before closing. And they were happy to take us in. We spent nearly 300 - 400 dollars worth of food and drinks. Not one thing was bad, not one. Everything was fresh, piping hot. And they did it with a smile on their face. Great food, great service. Just amazing. Our new favorite spot.”

“I like taco time better than taco bell by a long shot. But it is still fast food American Mexican. I will forever love the crisp pinto bean burritos with the house salsa. Taco time is consistent and dependable. Never changes and always quick. For fast food it's decent and one of my go tos when I'm in a hurry.”

“Small coffee booth located in the middle of ferndale. Frequented by the high-school students, timing is everything on the weekdays. This place fills up. They run weekly and monthly specials and have all the staples of most coffee stands. Staff is always friendly and open to giving recommendations.”

“I do love their coffee but I have recently caught at least one barista tipping herself when I use “Tap”. The girl that did it had at least one finger nail painted as a strawberry. So just make sure to finish out your transaction yourself.”

“They always have tasty ice cream here. The employees are always polite and listen well. They usually do a good job at keeping it clean, although during this visit it could have been better. I always enjoy coming here when I am in town visiting my daughter.”

Well scratch that itch with the epitome of a good American burger for 6.79 and a couple bucks for fries on the side. Holy shit is this good value for fast local food. I'm stopping here even when I don't really want a burger cuz it's just too good and cheap. The highest of 5 stars”

“I just got a caramel apple lotus which I've never had a lotus before. I do like drinks more on the sweet side so I added caramel sauce to it. Oh my goodness! Super good! I'm not a pumpkin fan so if you're looking for something caramel apple for the fall season, this is it”

“10:22 pm on a Monday and the gal Sam (possibly Samantha) taking orders via the drive through and payments was like the perfect example of someone who’s awesome at anything customer service related. For this late at night i was impressed, she was super chipper, friendly and didn’t make me feel bad for asking questions like a lot of other customer service people do at other businesses. She did a great job and put a smile on my face! Also, the royal cheesecake blizzard with the strawberry filling was a 10/10! Great job guys!”
