“These donuts are seriously fantastic. They might be the fluffiest donuts I've ever eaten with a nice crisp exterior. I ordered a dozen and the sweet lady working the counter was kind enough to throw an extra half dozen donuts holes into the box! Can't wait to come back.“

“Miss all the donuts shops that lined almost every neighborhood in SoCal. Seeing and eating at this place brings me home. It's next to the KFC and has a decent amount of parking. I felt very safe coming here midday and the store was clean and nice (I mention this because I went to another donut shop in Tacoma before which was very good too but kinda sketch or what one might say has "character" lol). Greeted immediately upon entry by cheery nice workers. I got a raised, cake, and old fashioned donut to try the selection of donut styles, plus a ham and cheese croissant. The sugar raised and cake donut tasted not too sweet (a positive in my book) and seemed fresh, meaning a little crispy on the outside, but moist and fluffy or creamy on the inside). However, the winner today was the old fashioned (my husband ate it all before I could take a photo). The old fashioned was very good, even with no icing it was delectable - perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy and flavorful on the inside. Outside the donut world, the ham and cheese croissant hit a home run. A good amount of ham, a little cheese, and a very nicely flaky, buttery but not too moist croissant outer. Prices are pretty good. Just under $5 for the savory croissant and a little over $1 for the donuts. I really want to come back to try their cinnamon rolls, scones, and boba, which all are decently priced too. Other notes: they take credit card, there are a few seats along the glass wall, and you can call in your order for pickup.“

“Saw Kolbys on my way to the golf course and wanted to try it out. Best donut i ever had. Guy was a professional too. Witness him take 7 different customers while making multiple breakfast sandwiches, all in about 10 minutes. We need more places like Kolbys.“

“This is a hidden gem. Despite its location in one of the rougher areas of Tacoma, this donut shop is 100% worth the visit. I recommend going in the morning because they do sell out of top sellers pretty quick (for good reason). I've never been disappointed here and I'm sure you won't be either.“

“The little lady working the shop was friendly and fast. Prices were good. Donuts were exceptionally tasty. All types. Really surprising.It's a hole in the wall mom 'n pop shop, so it's not flashy. But the food is worth it.Parking: There are 4 or 5 parking spots right up against the building. Otherwise you'll need to park along the street. It's located right next to a neighborhood.“

“We love Luke's! I stop on my way to work sometimes to get a dozen for the office. We bought Luke's for the police to celebrate my kids 5th, she wanted to eat donuts with the cops. We grab Luke's on our way to Saturday morning soccer games. We love love love Luke's! Our fav donut shop in the area! Perfect traditional donuts without all the over the top stuff that's not needed. “I'm surprised by some of the reviews because I popped in here unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon. Donuts were well stocked and all I wanted was a coffee. The barista was super nice, and the latte was REALLY good!! The smell of the donuts were so un-resistible that I had to peek at them. I saw the BIGGEST maple bar I've ever seen in the glass. My husband is a sucker for maple bars, so I picked him up one. When I gave it to him, he ate it in record time. He said it was one of the best maple bars he's ever had - and that's saying something. Cheers to the barista she was super friendly and helpful!“

“I’ve been eyeing for this place for almost 7 years now lol ? , and now I finally gave it a shot because I’m craving for donuts ? but when we arrived there it’s almost 3pm so there’s not a lot of choices we just bought whatever left in the store we bought 2 apple fritters and 9 donuts ( mixed flavors) glazed and sprinkled for $17 . Kids was very excited and happy & ofcourse me too . Best time to go here is morning! The donuts was delicious worth waiting .Parking: It’s easy to park coz it’s right in the hi-way and when I was there with my family afternoon there’s plenty of parking ?️.Kid-friendliness: It’s seems the place is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access for people who disable with wheelchair because the store is in front of the road.“

“Variety Donuts satisfied my recent craving for light and fluffy donuts~!!! (Sorry @ dense donuts…)When I arrived, the lady apologized and told me that I would have to wait a little before I could start picking out my donuts because she and, I believe, her husband were flipping freshly made donuts. I didn't mind because it was still early in the morning, and the overall atmosphere at the donut shop felt cozy because other donut enthusiasts were bonding with their families and friends while eating donuts.When I was able to choose my donuts, I had a hard time choosing the last few for the mixed dozen, so I asked the lady if she could choose the rest, and thank goodness I did because they were delicious~!!!I also asked the lady if the donut shop accepts Apple Pay, and she said yes, so for those like me who prefer to use Apple Pay as a payment option, you should be able to do so at Variety Donuts.“

“After having a chocolate bar from this spot, no other donut compares! I dream about these donuts because they aren't covered in candy and junk. Just simple, delicious goodness. The dough is exactly what you expect and the frosting isn't super-sweet. They are just right and I know that if I get a donut anywhere else, I will likely be disappointed because these are so fresh! I'm not even a huge donut person but if I get a hankering for one, this is the only place that gets my money!“

“Donuts are best around especially in the morning. However the mocha is ok. The coffee they use doesn't agree with my stomach but I have a sensitive stomach so don't let that detour you from trying it. I will just stick with the milk n donuts...“
