The staff was great, and definitely give the impression that they genuinely care about your visit. We took a chance on the appetizer special, and were very happy that we stepped outside our comfort zone (Traditional Venetian antipasto of marinated salt cod on squid ink polenta cakes paired with whipped ciccione crostini, sour cherries and hazelnuts). The lasagna bolognese and carbonara were absolutely amazing from the first bite to the last. I’ve never had better.“

“The staff are great. They're friendly, quick, and make good quality Pizzas. Goes a long way towards justifying the expense.

The only thing I don't recommend is the new Cheesey Stuffed Crust. The cheese is a flat layer inside the crust and adds nothing flavor wise.“

“Been coming here since they opened and the service has declined. Many times as of recent I have not been "welcomed in", and the kids working here have low concept of customer service. No sense of urgency or food handler conduct. No smiles or much eye contact if at all.
You don't braid your hair out in front for folks to see. You don't chew gum while handling food. The dining area and trash area is lacking in care. While with customers you don't participate in personal conversations. I was trained to treat everyone as if they were the health department ... you never know! I come from customer service and these are just a few items I've observed in my time being served and waiting for my food. The change of hands\staff saddened me and I hope these kids get the hangout of it. Definitely a reflection of training or lack thereof. And I'm not saying it's all the time but it's enough to notice consistent basis“

“Caveat up front: I have never had the pizza here. Weird, I know, but sometime told me about the salads and that's what I've gone back for every time. But that said, I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've given a place 5 stars, so that should tell you something.

In more detail, I cannot say enough good things about the salads here. There's a great variety of toppings, including those you'd normal expect to put on your pizza instead, and it's pretty much all on the menu. I don't know what would happen if you asked them to put pizza sauce on your salad, but I bet they would. And you can go crazy for a single price. I've usually got 3+ meats, 2-3 cheeses and half of the veggie options, and let me tell you, that's a salad that'll fill you up. It's all fresh ingredients and they're not too stingy with the portions; one poor guy had a hard time getting the lid to stay on!

It's never empty but rarely busy, so you can get in, get your food and be on your way pretty quick, and they are quick, professional and friendly.

If you never considered a pizza place might be your favorite stop for healthy options, I highly advise you rethink it, and stop in to MOD Pizza... And I hear the pizza's pretty good too!“

“I absolutely LOVE this Papa John's location. The food quality is amazing every time. They are fast yet efficient and ordering online is always so easy, I literally do it while I'm grocery shopping so I can just stop there on my way home to pick up a delicious dinner. The best part though, really is the employees here. As soon as I walk in I am greeted and taken care of right away. They always make sure my extra sauces are there. If I ever move across town, I would go out of my way to come to this specific location, every single time.

“Hy lu Hee Hee ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hy Lu Hee Hee means “Good Times and Lots of Laughter.” The Hy lu Hee Hee is a Gig Harbor, WA local’s hang-out that got it start as a Tavern in 1935. In 1958, the State condemned the tavern building and asked that the business vacate the premises, so they could build a new highway to Purdy. The business was rebuilt in 1983, in a new location, by new owners, which is where it has remained ever since. I have been visiting Gig Harbor since 1990, but my first visit to the Hy Lu Hee Hee wasnt until 5/19/23, which was a Friday. Although I arrived before 9 PM, the music was LOUD! I’ve decided to do a sound check via the app SoundPrint. It averaged 83 dB and got as high as 88 dB, which is considered Very Loud. That would’ve been acceptable if I had signed up to see a live band, but it wasn’t. It was bad pre-recorded music, being played over blown speakers.  I had to shout out my order. Everyone around me was shouting too. My server told me this is the norm after 9 PM. Unless you’re already deaf, or enjoy the thought of shouting at your dining companions, I recommend you visit the Hy Lu Hee Hee earlier in the day.  I ordered one of the five house favorites on the menu, Fish + Chips ($17) - Breaded and Seasoned Wild Alaskan True Cod with Fries, House Slaw + Tartar Sauce. Compared to all the fish and chips I’ve eaten in Washington state, it was pretty standard fare. It was a generous portion of fries, and I liked the housemade tartar sauce. The coleslaw had decent flavor, but it obviously been made sometime ago and was swimming in liquid. Personally, I prefer Tides Tavern, which is another Gig Harbor local’s hang out, but I’ll be back at some point to visit the Hy lu Hee Hee.
