“Omg this is my favorite place in the world!!! I have tried other poke spots in Tacoma and they do not compare ! PORTION SIZES are what you pay for. You can sit in and have a cute time or even Uber eats it to your house/ work haha. I will always recommend them and it’s worth the drive.”
“We found this place quite by accident And found it to be the perfect little gem that we didn’t know about. The food is amazing. The young lady recommended a torta, and it was amazing and I highly recommend visiting this little restaurant.”
“This place is my new favorite place. I have been there 8 or 10 times the past few weeks and tried almost everything on the lunch menu and have only been delighted with the food every time. Its hard to pick a favorite but the Reuben is hands down the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had and others who have eaten here with me agree. I have not figured out exactly how the dynamic works here but Ivy who does most of the serving seems to have things in control im not sure if she is an owner or the chef or if the chef is the owner or what is happening on that level so I don't want to step on anyones toes but she is doing a fantastic job as the face of Spring Lake Cafe. The service is impeccable, the ambience is inviting and the food is delicious with a consistency hard to find in the new normal of society. Its refreshing to go to a place and know that it really does not matter what you order because you will enjoy it fir sure. I hope that people treat these guys well because the prices are out of a roll back time machine or something. I feel like I am getting several Michelin stars of hospitality here but I'm paying McDonald's prices. I cant say enough how good this place is. Go to the Spring Lake Cafe for lunch or you wish you had.”
“I came in earlier this week and had wonderful experience. The pizza was the best I had in a long time! And I’ve been to a lot of pizza places. I recommend the Sammy’s combo. The employees were also enthusiastic especially Sean. Good job Sammy’s!”
“Such good food and tasty. Good portion sizes as well. They are always friendly and make sure you have everything.Parking: Depends on the time of day you go. There are other businesses in the complex, and if busy, parking is harder to find. It's free parking, though, and there are parking spots right in front of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: It's 1 story and no stairs, so it is easy to get in and out.”
“Kind thoughtful nice morning gals who care!!!!!!! Yummy coffee and great service. They never get annoyed at all the different coffee requests like some coffee stands do. And they rarely ever mess up.”
“Hey, this dude work hard. Can never remember a name but he and his delivery driver were the only ones working and he was able to keep a good demeanor. That's not easy when you're the only one working. Super friendly too, couldnt not give a good review. Keep up the good work. Oh, and great pizza too and flavor ”
“I was so impressed with their veggie tacos it was incredibly delicious. And I'm not a vegetarian, but I wanted to try and do some veggies this week. So pleasantly please.”
“Good chicken sandwich! Chicken was really juicy! I’d never seen kale salads on the menu here so I had to try it. Surprisingly, it was good! I’ll order this again rather than fries. Not a huge fan of waffle fries anyway. Service was pleasant. I was asked if I wanted a refill of my drink as I walked out. Atmosphere was typical. It was busy and as clean as it could be with some many people coming and going. The parking lot however, way too small of spots and I don’t even have a big vehicle.”
“The place for bagels in Tacoma! We come to pick up 2 bagel sands each time we visit from Honolulu! Bagels are well made, fillings are generous and flavors are on spot. Only issue? There's always a line so go early on a weekday. Line's part of the charm I guess and the place has tons of personality!Parking: Go early for parking and no line.”
“Great tapas. Loved the anchovies, hard to find around here. Hoped to see a Spanish Vermouth somewhere. Paella was out of stock, looking forward to having that next time. Glad you’re here!!! Loved the food, atmosphere and prices. Michelle was great and had good recommendations.”
“Really wonderful place for a date night. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. Would definitely come here again. I had the over the moon lasagna and my wife had the scallops. Both were excellent!”
“Such a darling little cider house! Our first time there we went for the cheese and cider flight amd are planning on going back for many more of these events they will be hosting. Service was top notch even though they were busy, indoor & outdoor seating. Very clean 10/10 would ”
“Everthing from friendly, efficient service to food presentation and flavors were excellent. We were hoping for a quieter dining experience though. Still, we return here 2x yearly from Hawaii to enjoy Italian cuisine we can't quite get in the islands. Marzano is a definite recommendation!!”
“Vegetarian options: The tapioca pudding was vegan and DELICIOUS!Kid-friendliness: Tut took both of my grandsons, and they LOVED it! We shared about 4 small plates 1st, and WOW! Then all 5 of us shared our main courses, and they melted with every bite... literally!”
“This gelato is better than any gelato I had in Italy. <3 It is insanely smooth, full of flavor and has a long lasting taste in your mouth. I will be going back here over and over again. Keep up the AMAZING work!”
“Inside the Harley place is the nicest little Cafe ever, lovely ladies and food is so good will catch you by surprise! Get the shrimp and grits, and I'm from the ”
“'Un'Chopped SaladHad the dinner sized. Could have eaten a lunch sized because it was soooooo incredible.Fresh Protein - Seafood and chestnutsFresh Veggies - Fresh Romane and AvocadoI was wonderfulCan't wait to go back to Seattle to have it again.”
“Vien Dong is a personal favorite of mine, and is basically a staple in my diet. I go every Friday with my mother, and have for about a year so far. And honestly? I can't eat Pho anywhere else anymore. The broth is pure magic. You can taste the love and attention that goes into every delicious bite of food. They love their customers, and have their usuals memorized (If they have one, anyway! Everything is SO delicious). And did I mention affordable? You can eat like a king without breaking the bank! And even if the restaurant is packed, the service is still incredibly quick. Such a beautiful restaurant, run by a lovely group of people. If you're like me and so many other people, you'll probably become a regular too. Give it a try. You deserve it.”
“The chicken and fries had me dancing while eating. It's SOOOO good. Do yourself a favor, go. Buddy's is an exceptional addition to the already rich legendary Lincoln District food landscape.”
“** LOVE Curran Coffee**Curran Coffee is delicious! BONUS: food is good too. Ordered the Gemini Latte and bagel with garlic cream cheese spread. I always have bad luck with ordering food from coffee shops. It's usually generic. The bagel was hot, soft to bite into, and plenty of cream cheese. Could eat one right now. My Gemini Latte with oat milk was delish! It wasn't too sweet. It was busy when we went so get there early for seating. We lucked out when a couple left and found a table right by the window.Love that they are female owned and the owners were working which is a plus. They have a hands-on approach. This means they handle all customer complaints. As young as they are, you go girls! Can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking which can be a pain.”
“On our way home, we sought a spot for a quick bite. Upon entering, we were greeted with warm smiles in this charming place. It being our first visit, the owner kindly suggested some options, sharing his favorites. Opting for the German Hoagie, we deferred to his topping preferences.Though initially planning to eat on the go, one bite of the German Hoagie convinced us otherwise. The amalgamation of flavors – meats, toppings, bread – demanded a moment to relish. We ended up savoring our meal in the parking lot, returning to express gratitude to the delightful couple (presumed owners). Undoubtedly, a place worth revisiting and recommending!”
“Absolutely the cutest lil coffee shop. The barista was so sweet and helpful. We need more people like her. The sweet saying on the lids of the coffee was much needed and loved today.Parking: It was easy to park mid day on a Saturday.”
“Really good. Had a reservation so getting seated was easy. We didn't have to wait long for food. I got the carne asada dish and it was delicious. We didn't drink alcohol so our taste buds were awake to taste..The only thing is parking wasn't fun.. couldn't find a spot.”
“I love Balcon! It’s my favorite quick bite spot in the neighborhood. I especially love the bean and cheese pupusa - I usually get two with extra slaw. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu tho - so happy this little local business opened up!”
“Completely unexpected. I happened to find it online while looking for something else, and we wondered why we had never tried it. From their menu and price points it's an upscale restaurant, but its location, and the building it's in, are very unassuming. (Very. We were having second thoughts by the time we parked.)Walking through the door, it doesn't look like the outside of the building suggests it should. We had made reservations, and I was glad because it was full. The dining area is basically one large room (remember, it's still working with the unassuming structure it lives in), but they had placed us in the lounge area which is slightly sectioned off from the rest of the space. But well-appointed, with a super professional waitstaff. The menu is very eclectic, and everything looked very good. We started with Deep Fried Brie (which was so delicious! It would make a great dessert, too, so don't count it out as a finisher). After thinking seriously about the Baked Mac & Cheese, I decided it might be too much cheese after the Brie, so I had the House Risotto, while Handsome had the Angus Burger, rare with smoked cheddar and a side salad. For libations I had the House Old Fashioned (a sweetly spiced take on a classic, I liked the hint of sweetness and will get this again), and Handsome had the Bourbon Mai Tai (not too sweet, so he had two!).We ate *everything,* and were full, so I decided to get the Campfire cocktail as my dessert (think s'mores, but in a cocktail form - it would be lighter than an actual dessert). Then Handsome decided he wanted to try their Carrot Cake, and it looked too delicious to pass up so I had some of that too. It doesn't say this in the menu description (look for the pictures), but their Carrot Cake is topped with crispy carrot curls, which were slightly sweetened. The effect of the slightly crispy curls with the cake and creamy frosting was worth it.Located in the Midland area of Tacoma, near Parkland. Excellent dinner ?️Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were clearly marked, and suitable for vegetarians who eat dairy. One or two of the options looked like they could easily be made vegan. The staff was friendly, so calling and asking about vegan options is a good idea.”
“As a big soup girly, Infinite Soups is my heaven. We took 5 soups home to try a variety but these were my favorites: (1) Chicken Gorgonzola Tortellini (2) Pot Roast (3) 3 Cheese Potato. The pricing seems an absolute steal for the quality and everything was piping hot.I also so appreciated how friendly the staff was and the ability to sample before choosing!10/10 would recommend and will be back very soon!!!”
“What a great place!! First time here and the food and service were phenomenal! Chef Shawn came to our table (as well as the other tables) to see how we were doing. It’s the personal touch that I enjoyed the most. I had the ‘My Native Roots” and my husband had the ‘The ‘Tiny’ Burrito’. Don’t let the name fool you! We will be definitely be back in the very near future!”
“Hidden gem. A little hidden in a parking lot, so if you're just driving down the street, you'll miss it, but I always get great customer service, and the coffee is good with even better prices! The set up is really awkward when a line begins to form, it can get confusing. They do have a walk up so you can order ahead and skip the line??”
“Cute little stop for coffee and wonderful sandwiches! Everything is always fresh and made to order so have patience. Call in your order ahead if needed. Garden turkey on rye is my go to! So yummy! Staff is so friendly. Great experience.”
