I really liked the crispy rice (spicy tuna) and the torched salmon signature sushi rolls. Amazing taste. I wish the chicken karaage was a little less bland or served with egg mayo to compensate. Same with the chashu Ramen, it was relatively bland compared to the many different places i have had one. But i have no complaints regardless .
I'm extremely picky about sushi; to be honest, I rarely love what I try at restaurants. But I absolutely loved everything I had at Jima! From gyoza to their Ramen to the rolls, it's all fantastic, fresh and delicious. My teen daughter and I are crazy about the Mt Baker roll- so creative and the best tasting roll ever. The food at Jima Sushi was delicious, with fresh sushi and good service. We were just 2 people, ordering 2 bowls of ramen, 1 sushi plate, ice cream, and hot tea. However, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, and we also tipped 20%, bringing the total to nearly $150 – quite high for this amount of food.
Besides, the restroom was not available at the time we visited, which was inconvenient. I hope the restaurant reconsiders how gratuity is applied for small parties...
