“What can I say? I was a customer first & foremost, and occasionally you'll find me behind the bar! The vibe, IMHO, is unpretentious. On any given day you'll see someone grubbed up in work clothes, some in their office clothes, some dressed for a night on the town, and anywhere in between. You can bring in your food - AND your dog (make sure to get their pic taken for the 'Woof Wall'!); play cornhole or other board, card, or pub games; listen to or dance along with live music; play trivia (Thursdays); watch 'the game' on any of the 3 TV's; etc... There is a selection of beer & cider on tap, more ciders, seltzers, soda, and beer in cans, and even quite a selection of wines to choose from - either by glass or by bottle. A couple times a month there'll be special events: wine tastings, crafting events, night markets, etc. You can sit in the sun (or inside away from it!), watch the sunset, and even catch a glimpse of water-life! It's a place my friends & I frequent, and it's a place I would tell you to bring your friends also! It may not be "CHEERS" - we may not know everyone's name - but Hal & Ronda and the Haase brood (and myself!) will do our best to make your visit a good one!!“

“My new favorite cider house. The vanilla bean is damn good and the peach. They have pretty kickass decals and give out logo coloring pages. Mine is almost done and in my photos in this review. Walking distance to many other places including restaurants. No food here but some right next door and you can order food to be delivered to you there. We'll definitely be going back.Parking: Parking on the streets was full when we went so we used the paid lot right down the block.“

“Support local! The yoked family is all about building community. Great beer and atmosphere. Plenty of events, be sure to check the Facebook page to see what's coming up. Very friendly for kids and dogs, too. Dress for the weather, as many seating options are outside.“

“This is really cool! When you arrive you check in at the counter and get your bracelet. Then you serve your own drinks! This means you can sample as many as you like and you don't have to commit to a drink you're unsure of. The indecisive person's dream come true! The staff were friendly and were kind in answering questions. You can sit on chairs around a coffee table or there is a table that has swings for chairs. Fun but can be hard to sit on for a long time. Next time I'm in Tacoma I want to come back here!“

“Black Fleet is a fantastic local brewery, managed and staffed by a wonderful team. Be sure to visit or catch them at a local farmer’s market like Proctor.I held a 40th birthday celebration for around 45 guests on New Year’s Eve. Laura patiently helped us to organize the event and Kyle was present on the day to pour endless pints.The beer options are diverse, offering something for all - the pilsner is crisp and highly drinkable. The food was also excellent!Numerous friends and family commented on the quality and friendliness of the venue, and plan to return on their own.Kid-friendliness: We had more than 10 kids in attendance for the party. The staff were patient and kind with all that entailed! Soda options are excellent too.“

“We were staying here for a special occasion and had breakfast ,lunch, and dinner on different days. Have had a lot of McMenamins experiences in different places and this was just fine. (The hotel is amazing but that’s a different review) I don’t expect their food to be creative gourmet, just well done, and it was at all 3 meals. The cocktails ARE creative and delicious but heavy on ice and light on alcohol (lookin at you, tiki bar) That said, the customer service, top to bottom-hotel and restaurants- was truly great. Seemed like employees are invested in their jobs ( and if you’re just faking it that’s okay too?) This ‘retired resort chef’ is impressed…“

“Very slow and poor service. I had to get up two times to find our server. First, to request water after 20 minutes. And the second, to request the check even before my food arrived because it was taking so long. Food was good. Just very bad service.“
