“A lovely place with waterfront views in Gig Harbor. The four of us enjoyed a really good meal. The chowder was superlative, loaded with clams and fish in a tomato version of the classic. The butternut gnocchi were very different and quite delicious. Pasta in the cacio pepe was a bit overcooked but otherwise good. I thought the salmon cakes, while tasty, were a bit dry. Overall the food ranged from good to excellent. Service was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend.“
“A long with our great Latte's we ordered a raspberry scone and double lemon muffin, they were great.Oh and if you are a true coffee person that usually drinks black coffee, Mitzi's Blend is an awesome dark roast that we buy on a regular basis.“
“Extremely hard to beat in the Harbor. Meticulous in every way from atmosphere to baked goods. Extremely minor suggestions. Hemp or Almond milk alternatives available please? The barista knew what she was doing in every way and ahead of what I needed/wanted. Would be nice if she smiled. This place is amazing. If you haven't tried it, your loss.“
“The food and the service was amazing!! My wife is gluten sensitive and they were very accommodating. Several desserts to choose from (even for my gluten sensitive wife). Prices were very reasonable as well. The ambiance was great, with plenty of views of the water. The only downside was the noise level, however we were there on a Friday night and it was extremely busy which I'm sure was part of reason. Will definitely be coming back to this gem!“
“Great tapas. Loved the anchovies, hard to find around here. Hoped to see a Spanish Vermouth somewhere. Paella was out of stock, looking forward to having that next time. Glad you’re here!!! Loved the food, atmosphere and prices. Michelle was great and had good recommendations.“
“This was a nice spot downtown. It’s both the type of place people could enjoy a nice evening out and the type of place I could stop in to grab just a regular cup of coffee before heading to my conference. Everyone was super friendly and I could see they are tied in to the community and wanting their customers to feel like regulars.“

“Bought a $100 gift card for my Father for Christmas. Can't wait for him to tell me about his first experience . My wife and I enjoyed individual flights last night, seated on the vintage looking green valour settee. The Bigger Bodies Reds. Each was amazing and it was a tough choice of which to choose for a glass. New World was the flight my wife enjoyed. Next I had a glass of the Blesoe. Two of our friend couples came so we became six. Each of them enjoyed a flight or glass. The staff was informative, super friendly and hospitable. We will certainly return, great meeting spot and The Spar is across the street;). The only suggestion is filtered water please as the water provided tasted to my wife & I like tap water.“
“Just had a nice ride with my fiance and stopped by for a bite to eat on the way home. I had the margarita pizza ? it had tomatoes, ? cheese ?, and a balsamic glaze. And my fiance had the macaroni and cheese ? with fried chicken ?. It was smoky and good. The pizza ? was very good. Definitely want to get either the macaroni and cheese ? next time or their burgers? . Thank you to Cheyenne our server. ?“
“Stopped to grab a few bottles on our way out to an off grid peninsula trip. 45 minutes and 14 bottles later... so glad we came here rather than a big chain. Great selection of interesting and classic wines at a price point that makes it hard not to keep adding oooone more bottle. And a very warm and friendly reception. Good shop for wine nerds and novices alike!“
“An absolute gem! Great food served by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I lived in Tacoma for 20 years, but have been away for 23 years. Now back in the area, we went back to our old favorites. The so-called fine dining, well established restaurants we used to enjoy have really gone downhill! So disappointing. So glad I found Macaluso’s to celebrate our anniversary. Great food, fantastic staff that really work at serving their guests to make it an enjoyable event. Special thanks to James and Johnny! It was a pleasure to meet the owners who came to greet us at our table. We will be back! Highly recommend it.“
“My husband and I moved to Lakewood last year from Ocean Shores where we owned a wine bar/shoppe and decided to try and find a place that we could enjoy being “on the other side of the bar.” This is the first place that we truly enjoyed ourselves in. The owners, Cosette and John are wonderfully welcoming and provide a warm atmosphere with a nice wine list and tasty offerings to nibble on. Their house made crackers and cheese board are wonderful!“
“On a day trip to Vashon Island we happened upon Caffe Vin Olio as we were looking for breakfast and coffee. What a lucky find! We confessed to being out-of-towners and were welcomed with smiles and helpful guidance as we placed our orders. The mocha and the hot chocolate were prepared quickly and were perfect as we waited at a rustic table. The chocolate croissant and veggie bagel appeared soon and were absolutely delicious! We loved this Vashon Island experience; thank you.“
“Beautiful little hidden gem in Tacoma.Parking can be a little hard, and the door easy to miss.Once you get in though, it's a gorgeous little, clean, chic, modern bar and bistro. We tried the Margherita pizza and the Spicy Vegan. Both are on point. Great chew and texture to the crust, and fresh, quality ingredients.“
“Made a reservation for 12:30pm for a party of two. We had the Dottie Flight and Reserve Spirits Flight and the Charcuterie board. Cost about $75 before tip. It was our first tasting experience and we enjoyed it very much.Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. The crackers and cheese board is good but not much for food so make sure your not hungry when you go.“
“There for Easter brunch. The food was very good, but the variety was disappointing. I was hoping for more pasta choices. I felt like we spent $60 each for breakfast, which I understand it’s brunch but where were the lunch items? Plus the all you can drink options (alcohol) are additional fees, which was misleading from the advertisement.Overall disappointing but the food and service was very good. Will try a normal dinner service next time and skip the buffet.“
“I don't typically comment much on decor but this restaurant has some notably beautiful decor and ambiance that is extremely unique and lends to a romantic and upscale experience. The food is prepared and served expertly and at a great price-point. It's a good value, especially for lunch. Check out this great menu of options! Everything I've tried here is solidly delicious.“
“Is this place worth a trip to Vashon? Probably. Definitely if you live in North America already. This place masquerades as a super-low-key bottle shop connected to an ice cream parlor/arcade, but it's more than that. The beer and wine selections are masterfully curated, and while the staff seem like super laid back people who just want to make sure you're having a good time, asking a few questions about anything makes you realize that they're actually complete experts about everything there, and will happily teach you anything about anything they sell there if you ask about it. And don't get me started on the food. Anything you order will be delicious and underpriced.Bring your kids, shove them off into the arcade and enjoy a couple hours there. It is one of my favorite things now.Kid-friendliness: Unassuming atmosphere and there is an arcade/ice cream shop next door, my kid loves this place.“
“This place has an old town feel. The service was not great, but the coffee was amazing. It's a good place to sit & drink your coffee or eat your breakfast sandwich.Kid-friendliness: Bar height chairs & tall tables to sit at.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level easy access.“
“Very fun place. I thought it was more of a lovely brunch spot but it’s very much more a DJ everywhere a selfie whooohoo girl place It’s adorable but a little like an influencers paradise. The biggest disappointment is I got a flight of bubbly Cava and champagne is my drink of choice. The flight was just basic and they were served in a flat bottom glass Not chilled either and then went flat right away. It didn’t help one was Prosecco so they never have good bubbles. But warm and not bubbles in a spirit glass is pathetic. I also think you shouldn’t call it a flight if it’s pre selected. I’m beyond glad I didn’t waste money on a glass of sparkling or champagne that was a higher price point that perhaps comes is an inappropriate glass The variety is just ok Good part - food was fantastic. We got brunch. I got the avacado salmon toast and it was so good. Large portion. It comes with what they said are biscuits but we got a scone to share breakfast potatoes and an arugula burrata salad. It was very good although have to add hubs got steak and eggs and the scone potatoes and salad (ours didn’t have any dressing ) were served. Then a while later the entree was served. It was odd. The scone yes but a plate of potatoes ?!? The price point was great. Loooove to see new places in Tacoma Service was decent. Hard to want to go back because it felt so young almost immature and nothing to do with champagne appreciation. But the food was great and maybe they focus will change to champagne“
“This is a great place! The owner and staff are always friendly, know their selections so they can make good recommendations for you. They have rotating taps, so you don't get tired of the same thing every time you go.If you are a dog lover, this is the place to go! They have an entire wall near the bathrooms called the "Woof Wall", I believe, that is nothing but doggies that have brought their humans with them for beers, treats, and good times. Some nights they have trivia, some days live music. They also hold special events for things like wine tasting from local wineries. I've had nice conversations with Hal on more than one occasion when it's not too busy, and he's always great to talk with.Give them a try. Summertime is great there with all the doors open, a gentle breeze off the water, and cold beer in hand. Also, try the tacos from the food truck in the parking lot. Excellent!!“
