“Ocean5 is one of the most accessible places in Gig Harbor for seniors using walkers or wheelchairs. The disabled parking is plentiful, the front entrance has automatic sliding doors, and there is a gentle ramp directly into the coffee shop area. My father has significant mobility limitations, and this is one of the few places where getting from the car to a table feels manageable and low-stress. Then, add great coffee, good food, and excellent service.“

“Very chic place, I cannot remember the last time I had roasted garlic and I ordered it, crostini's were so warm and garlic spreadable and toasty. Bonus points for all the scattered fresh fruit.

I also enjoyed the chicken and dumpling soup, but most of all the Mac n cheese was surprising I was expecting creamy, soup like Mac, but it was very much BAKED like someone's grandmama was back there
Could have used a little more seasoning which is understandable because we can always add our own if need be

“Visiting friends in Seattle, we were suggested in visiting Vashoon island and it's cool spots and this is definitely one of them.

After exploring the island a bit, we wanted to grab something to eat and stop at this cool shop. You will encounter essentially two eateries in one commercial spot but it's great that they each work together to make entertaining each other's store simply by walking through a walkway between them.

As far as food options it won't be extensive but it does have some great, unique options. I tried their chicken with teriyaki sauce plate and boy was it good. They also have great local alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available, some bottled, canned or even on tap. Seating can be tricky especially during peak hours or seasons so plan accordingly and just be patient. If you're waiting, just take a step outside and walk into some of the great independent shops next door or across the street. Parking may also be a challenge so read signs carefully to avoid getting a ticket or towed.

Overall, a great spot to grab a drink and a quick bite to eat mid day to break up your adventures on Vashoon.“

“Celebrated a birthday date night and first time dining here. Great ambiance with fantastic service. (Thank you Jordan). We called ahead and made reservations. The table was decorated with a long stemmed red rose and a birthday card. Our meal was so delicious! Cocktails, starters, dinner and dessert were pure perfection! Thank you chef(s). “Found this little gem on a Thursday run with my running group. Stopped in afterwards and had the pear, arugula, goat cheese, and hot honey pizza. Wonderful pizza with all ingredients well balanced, albeit a bit messy. 😉 Was told by the bartender afterwards that next time I could add meat ingredients too. So if you want to guild the lily just ask.

The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate couple with soft lighting, quiet music, and dark colors. This would be a perfect cozy date spot (21+ only, so kid free zone). Plus, afterwards, there is gelato next door.“

“We've seen this wine shop on our visits to Tacoma but never really had a reason to stop in since our focus when we're in town is family and other events. However this weekend we were unexpectedly invited to a friend's house so we stopped by to pick up bottle of wine. What we found was a lively neighborhood wine bar and bottle shop. There were about 6+ people in the shop having a glass of wine, visiting and relaxing. The shop had a nice representation of wine from many different regions. We're partial to Italian and Spanish wines and were pleasantly surprised to see a nice selection of Brunellos, Rosso de Montelcino, Borrolo and Whites including Vermentino. The proprietors were knowledgeable and helpful. If we lived closer I could see ourselves dropping in occasionally to relax with a glass of wine or popping in for one of their tasting.“

“I am a bagel loving lady. Born in Jackson Heights Queens NY City; bagels are in my blood. The bagels here are NYC best quality. They have the shiny outside, the correct twist, the complex flavor. All perfect. I went back to NYC and ate a bagel from Zabar’s in Grand Central Station; total disappointment. Came running home to Vashon to have a proper bagel at Little Cup. Oh yes, the atmosphere is awesome and the people are even better.“

“Last night we celebrated Bruce's (Mei Ling) graduation from NYU at the Lobster Shop Tacoma with his parents from China. The staff went over the top with service! From the wine sommelier, to the waiter's patience and respectful help with foreign visitors, and manager's kind visit to welcome the family, I couldn't be more impressed. I tried to sneak in a special desert and was told the manager had already taken care of it on the house. Thank you all! What you didn't know is Bruce's mother is an influencer with over a million followers. She took a lot of videos to share.“
