“A good sushi choice if you’re craving a quick bite and need a fast meal. I was a little disappointed that the chef’s choice sushi was all imitation crab (was hoping for primarily tuna or salmon in at least one of the rolls), but I still devoured the whole package.”

Also I am sick 😭 so when I received my soup with a note saying I matter and a cookie I was so appreciative!! I legit almost died tonight because of the stove when I was cooking soooo it's all ironic lol. But I'm alive enjoying soup. Thank you!

“As someone frequently TDY to JBLM, Slim Chickens has become my go-to lunch spot — and for good reason. It’s consistently quick, clean, and satisfying. The tenders are hot and crispy, the wings pack legit flavor, and the dipping sauces actually feel curated, not generic. Add fries, toast, and a blue raspberry poweraide drink, and you’ve got a combo that just hits right — every time.

Even during the lunchtime rush, service stays efficient and the seating stays open. It’s the kind of place that understands soldiers and travelers want comfort food without the wait or fuss. Slim Chickens nails it.”

“The staff is so attentive, the owners are so generous and kind, especially if you have kids. This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had and our favor restaurant near the tacoma area. Yes the menu is smaller but you can tell they put a lot of thought and love into their food. I think it’s better to focus on a few good dishes and have them be perfection than have a mid menu with a lot of items. Can’t say enough good things about this place!”

“If you’re going on Saturday morning be prepared to wait a bit (outside) in line and dress accordingly! Worth it though. Phenomenal service and food. Their bagels and shmear are good- just the right amount of chew and density but not dried out or tough. If you like sandwiches though definitely give one of their bagel sandwiches a try. The “hot to go” was the favorite of the 3 we tried (classic bacon egg cheese, pastrami, & hot to go).”
