Hands down best seafood joint I’ve ate at.. had the fried okra and the basic cod basket and blew every other fish and chips I’ve had out the water … and the hush puppies though!!! My god straight heaven.
Reliably delicious! All items have great texture- in the greens I love the big, identifiable leaves, the clearer… rue (I’m no chef so I’m doing my best with the vernacular lol), all battered items are crispy never burned. Everything is made to order and served SO fresh. My mom is obsessed with their corn, she says it’s “above and beyond”, rolled in a mix of spices with the perfect amount of heat in the flavor profile....
My first impression, this place is clean and tidy. Obviously, the cooks change the fry oil frequently, because this joint doesn’t smell or look greasy. We were warmly met by the waitresses. My husband and I ordered Gumbo. If the hubby say’s the Gumbo is good. Believe him. The cook put some time and love in our meal.
