“I thought I just didn't like lattes anymore- that I'd grown out of them somehow. Nope! It turns out I'd just had a series of disappointing ones (in the Seattle area, not Whidbey Island). My BF and I went into Sprinklz as they were near closing. The girl working was so sweet and friendly. She'd just finished cleaning the coffee machines but insisted on putting them back together for us. Upon tasting his latte, my BF stopped suddenly mumbled something incoherent (He may have started speaking in tongues, im unsure.) Ive been with him loads when he ordered lattes and he's never had such a reaction, so I asked to taste it as well. When I took a sip of this latte that she had made with what would seem to be the hands of a magical goddess, it was other worldly. Angels sung, I found my higher power, I may have teared up a little.... I'm still fanning myself as I type this. A million thanks to that magical barista! Well done!“
“Ok full disclosure. I'm probably one of the only guys from Seattle that doesn't drink coffee and I don't really care for scones. My wife and daughters do though and I've been drug over here when on the island a few times. It's often busy but if you go a little later it's not as much . One criticism is that when they get busy, the coffee service starts holding up the line. A good food service consultant might be a wise investment for the owner. Their scones really are good! Got me eating them a bit now though I have nothing to dunk them in. They have frozen ones to go which is what we stock up on for the beach house. I like them less cooked in our air fryer. Recently we bought the hazelnut ones and they were the bomb! Their breakfast sandwiches are good too! Another thing I don't usually go for much but Jupiter rocks the breakfast Sammie! I don't want to ruin their 5 star rating so I'm being a little generous! Tourists and islanders alike enjoy this place.“
“Good tasting coffee here. Umbria coffee tastes great. They are not stingy with the coffee either. Lots of taste and price is good. Probably one of the very best espresso drive throughs on Whidby Island. Friendly and organized Baristas, too. Get you in and out quickly back on the .road“

Coffee is always on point and the staff is always friendly, which counts for a lot in my opinion.Worst way to start the day - being served by a barista that asks how you're doing but quite obviously isn't actually interested in your response - and then hands you a terrible latte.Best way to start the day - going to Southern Cross Espresso!!“
“Stoped for lunch with a colleague first time in and this place is soooo cool!! Friendly staff, lots of seating indoors and out and how about that view of Puget Sound! Wow ?I had my usual coffee iced americano with coconut milk and tried a taco avocado wrap! Perfect for the warm and sunny afternoon ? I highly suggest you stop in great coffee and food!“
“Love their coffee and their Lake Goowdwin location is very convenient, they recently stopped being associated with their Marysville location meaning they have different stamp cards now which is mildly annoying. Would be 5 stars if I hadnt been turned away exactly at 6:30 because "we start closing at 6:30 now" when their listed closing time is 7 ?“
“Great coffee place if you're going to Stanwood or Camano. Baristas are friendly and there's a lot of them! We visited very early and saw like 6 baristas.They also have ice cream and a wide variety of coffee selections.There's plenty of parking space outside and you can also do drive through.“
“Was staying on Whidbey Island for just the weekend and had this cafe recommended by a friend. I had breakfast here twice. The food is incredible and so is the service.The latte literally made me say out loud “Now that’s a damn good latte!” And I always thought a latte is a latte, it tastes good or okay. Nope, this one blew my mind! Changed my perspective on good coffee.My favorite thing about this cafe though was that there were soo many staff. More staff than small cafes and restaurants normally have. Therefore everything was so quick and the employees were so laid back, relaxed, talking and laughing and obviously enjoying their jobs and their lives. It really made the whole homey atmosphere more comfortable and enjoyable. 10/10 would come to this cafe every single time I visit this island.“
