Amazing hidden gem. Great pot stickers and teriyaki (get the noodles) but the bao buns are the star. Pillowy and tender with delicious fillings, no bad options; bring friends so you can share and sample. Personal favs were the curry chicken and bbq pork with the red bean as a sweet closer.

My husband and I popped in to try a selection of goodies at Formosa Bao. We tried the green onion bread, curry tofu bao, bbq pork bao, veggie sticky rice bao, Nutella bao, veggie potstickers, and yakisoba noodles. Ohhhh my goodness, this was amazing! From the minute we walked in, the owner was warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you are on the Peninsula and you do not stop here, you are missing out!!!

Formosa Bao is one of those hole-in-the-wall places you dream about. The first thing you discover is it's run by the sweetest, most delightful families you're likely going to ever meet. The mother is warm and friendly, the daughter is kind and very conscientious making sure you have everything you need for a great meal.
