We had the Caterpillar Roll and the Smoked Cuban sandwich... 10/10, so good. We love to visit, but those knocked it out of the park tonight! Thank you!!
First time back at The Sandbar after some great changes! New faces, new menu items, good feel. Unmatched location in downtown Long Beach. You can order from the bar (family friendly inside, just not seated directly at the serving bar) or from any of the food carts located just outside and eat in the park or courtyard on a sunny day, or inside (yes, even with food from the food carts) the venue. The Sandbar in downtown Long Beach has an unmatched location and a good feel after some great changes, with new faces and new menu items. Guests can order from the bar or from food carts outside and eat in the park, courtyard, or inside the venue. It is family friendly inside, just not seated directly at the serving bar. One guest watched baseball and was happy to find a place where one of the TVs could be swapped from football when the two overlap. The bartender was friendly and welcoming, balanced time well between everyone, and had good knowledge of the tap selection and menu items. The Shrimp Po-Boy was seriously so good, with a housemade spicy remoulade, fried shrimp in a light, crisp batter, and an excellent hoagie roll, plus lettuce and tomato rather than a slaw so it did not get soggy or mushy. WAFFLE FRIES were also mentioned. Bingo was fun, the drinks were great, and the staff was awesome. The Cranberry Bog was a favorite, and Lemon Drops were excellent, perfectly balanced. The restaurant was clean, service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. One guest left due to a broken glass in a cooler, and another went elsewhere due to the change of menu.
