“Whidbey coffee is great, the only place to get your coffee within a 50 mile radius of oak harbor.

However, recently when I went to whidbey coffee they had a trivia question, in which if you get the answer right, you would then get 50 cents off your drink.

The question was, “who was the first person to host SNL?”

A couple weeks before this I just watched a movie about the beginnings of Saturday Night Live, and knew the answer was George Carlin.

Out of the 3 possible answers they had listed, which included Steve Martin (who has hosted SNL 16 times), none of the possible answers were George Carlin.

I then said, well it’s not Steve Martin, which the barista said, are you sure, and I said yes.

Short story long, they had the right answer as Steve Martin, I said it wasn’t the right answer, they said look it up, I did, showed them it was George Carlin, and then they said well that’s the answer we got from the boss who made the question, and I did not get my 50 cents off.

I don’t care about 50 cents because it doesn’t matter, however, please, if you make a trivia question and then have a prize or reward for getting it right, make sure to have the right answer as an option. And also, if someone shows you that the answer you have is wrong, just take the 50 cents off and move on.

We are currently searching east of the Mississippi for the "Beast of the East Baristas." We may have found them in Westerly, Rhode Island. So far they have a strong hold on the East. It was a rainy cold fall day and I was in my way for a hike… she made my drink as perfect as you could get it. Not only was it delicious, she was sweet and professional!

“It is not often that I go out of my way to write a google review or even think to write one- but I couldn't help but get over the outstanding customer service this team of baristas collectively provided every day I came in for the week I visited the area. A few times I was even served at my table and each time with the kindest smile or brief conversation. They go the extra mile for you and it shows.

“I moved to Oak Harbor recently and was so worried I wouldn’t know where to satisfy my coffee/tea addiction. Finally found my #1 place and I’m so happy I did because they are amazing ☺️ I am in love with their matchas with cold foams, iced caramel lattes, hemp lattes, cake pops, breakfast, you name it. Not a lot of places have hemp milk which I’m in love with, so the first time I tried my drink, I knew I was done coffee hunting. Seriously they know how to make their drinks delicious EVERY single time. I also love the sweet girls who make my drinks and love on my puppy when I bring him. Plus the loyalty program!
