I really, really wanted to like this place. Haven't had a good Venezuelan arepa since I left my home state. Guess I'll keep looking....
The service was friendly and the food came quickly, but
The fried plantains said they came with sweet cream -it was just cream cheese (with maybe some cream added?). The chicken avocado arepa was just plain chicken and mayo with avocado strips, in a somehow both burnt and still raw-on-the-inside arepa. The Cubano would be much better as a sandwich with more pickle. Much was left to be desired in terms of flavor unfortunately. The only items we truly enjoyed were the yucca fries, which were pretty good and a nostalgic treat, and the plantains themselves. The fries came with a clear garlic sauce instead of the typical white sauce, but it was quite tasty for what it was.

Arepa food truck is the best! The food is consistently amazing and the staff are so kind. I have food sensitivities, which makes eating out a challenging experience at times. This place has become my new favorite comfort food. So glad they’re here!

* The paper bowls are not the best for the delicious sauce it needs to contain. I immediately moved my food into my glass containers. If you’re not going to eat it right away, I would bring your own Tupperware.

Beyond delicious!!!

I was looking for soul food…. I came across this gem, searching online.

Excellent portion; Amazing flavors. I got a bunch of sides and two of the shredded beef bowls, one with rice and one with fries. Spent about 55 bucks

I forgot how delicious fries are once they soak up the juice of the beans and the meat!!! At first, you’re like soggy fries, but I promise you try one😍🤗 You’ll be in love.

I don’t have a huge appetite so I was able to save some for this morning. I got one of their buns on the side. I crisp that up with some butter and added my remaining meat and plantains. I am so happy. This is food that makes you feel good!!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

A plus I noticed they are located in this cute little food, village area… The other vendors made great conversation and I picked up some hard apple cider that’s made locally.

I’m excited to return; This time for those empanadas I missed out on and I’m not leaving without another bowl!!

I got the potato fries, yuca fries and chicken moderna. It was good. Will give them another try.

I order the steak here often. Recently the past 3 times coming here the service has been awful. The younger women there spend more time talking than getting orders out. All of the customers besides myself were growing annoyed too. I waited 25 minutes to get my order then they tell me after the fact they’re out of Chimichurri. And the steak was very overcooked and charred. I wouldn’t have spent $20 if I knew they didn’t have one of the main components for their dish. I wont be going out of my way to come here anymore

Arepa is a little gem you have to try located on the corner of 4th Ave in Oly. First off, the Owner is a fantastic chef and his food will have you hooked. Everyone on staff is very welcoming. The steak and fries are mouthwatering and it is some of the best perfectly steak and fries you'll ever have with amazing homemade Chimichurri sauce. The Carne Patacon is absolutely delicious as well, fried plantain topped with shredded beef, angel hair cabbage, avocado, pink sauce, and crumbled cheese. The fried plantains are so good also! I absolutely love the food there! During the summer, there is outdoor seating and it is so nice to sit outside to enjoy your meal. I highly recommend Arepa, the food is amazing & highly quality restaurant style. The food truck is very clean kept & they provide great service. Limited parking is available in the lot as well as street parking nearby

Food was good. I thought it was weird that they provided unseasoned "garlic" oil to dip the fries in, but they were good without dip. It was really hot and sunny when I went. I bought a drink from the tap room to use their patio because there was zero shade at the tables and they were too hot to sit on. It was very expensive considering it was a food truck. I spent $20 on an arepa and yuca fries, so I don't think an umbrella over the table is too much to ask. I don't think I'll go back unless I have a specific craving.

Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Some options can be made vegan if you remove stuff. Make sure you double check because they gave me something not vegan even though I said vegan

Yucca fries are so crispy and light. They should be a thing everywhere. They come with an unusual garlicky oil to dip in which was delicious.

Puerco Patacon included nicely balanced, fresh ingredients: crispy hot pork, bright, cool veggies, cheese and cool sauce. I loved the fried plantains. It was very good though next time I'll try the shredded beef instead.

There are outdoor tables with no cover.
