Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar

Maybe too busy for a Friday Evening? We have been here before, and it's been Solid. Last Friday night, service was very slow, and my wife's fish was oversalted. It took 30 minutes to get our desert, we figured it was fresh baked chocolate cake, It wasn't. Was a total of 2:45 mins

The food was overpriced and disappointing. Such a shame it's gone down hill in the past few years.

The food took over an hour to be served. The scallops were overcooked in some spots and slimy in others and very small. They were barely the size of a quarter. The potato cake was greasy. The ship and crab cake appetizer, the crab cake was dry and the shrimp was over cooked. I would not eat here again.

The meal started off well but quickly went downhill. Appetizers were good, chowder was terrific. However the delay between each course was unacceptably long. At least 30 min between each course, no staff attention and the main courses weren't salted at all. There are many better options along the same waterfront. Do yourself a favor and try someplace else.

First time at Dockside. Pleasantly surprised with the menu and the service. We went for the seafood and were not disappointed. Fresh local oysters were excellent, although I prefer raw oysters served over ice vs. the small pebbles... The crab bisque was delicious, pear salad was fresh and flavorful- huge portion. The scallops were seared to perfection and ling cod crusted with pistachios was amazing. Service was excellent. We did not drink any wine, but wine selection looked phenomenal. Will go back for sure!

Had an excellent dinner. Really liked the ambiance, and the food was delicious and generous. Thrilled to have gone there at the last minute!

Great ambience and a culinary delight. So nice to have a fine dining spot in little Olympia. Worth the higher than average prices!

We really enjoyed our dinner of lamb bolognese and scallops. The dessert was wonderful- a type of banana split with carmelized bananas. Enjoy!

This restaurant is like a beautiful hidden gem by the water! I loved everything about eating dinner there. Our server, Courtney, made our dinner experience super special and absolutely WONDERFUL. Courtney is such a wonderful, smart, and caring server. It was my birthday... and she brought out a candle for me!!!! She also brought out a surprise treat. The memory that our server created for my birthday was so special... I will remember it forever.

The Dockside Bistro is without question the finest establishment in Olympia. Start to finish, the appetizers, dinner through the spectacular dessert, every dish was prepared perfectly, mesmerizing, and the service is second to none.

Hands down, this was the best meal I've had in a long time. Spectacular food, great wine, and friendly attentive service. My husband and I both ordered the black cod dinner, and every bite was a celebration of fabulous flavors!

Nice view. Very overpriced and expensive for what you get. Server continuously tried to up-sell us. Skip it and go somewhere else.

Our table waited over an hour and a half from main course order to when the first dishes were served. Server was apologetic, but even drinks were 15 mins from order. This type of service is absurd at this restaurant's price point. Food was decent but not exceptional and by the time it arrived was irrelevant. Maybe was an unusual short staffed night but certainly won't be going back.
