Its a dive bar pure and simple.
Came here while on my bachelor party. Bartender was awesome, other locals were super friendly and all around a great time. One of my favorite bars I’ve ever been to.

The Gateway Tavern in Port Angeles is a casual, friendly spot that has been a local favorite since 1936. Visitors often find the drinks to be good and served quickly, making it a great place to unwind. Although the kitchen is not fully operational, the food served is still delicious and reasonably priced. The tavern also features fun activities such as pool, darts, and an electronic dart board, which regulars are happy to share how to use. It is a true old-school Port Angeles place—slightly rough around the edges but warm and inviting once inside. The Gateway Tavern remains an ideal spot to socialize, enjoy a low-key atmosphere, and become part of the local scene.
