All 6 entrees were delicious except the vegan enchiladas which 2 of us ordered. We were extremely disappointed in them. They were bland with no flavor. Basically black beans in a tortilla with large chunks of portobello mushrooms which is odd for an enchilada. There could be so many interesting ingredients used. Puzzling why this is on the menu. The other entrees were fabulous.
I took my partner here for his birthday this evening and we had a truly fabulous dinner. The Ajax, situated directly across from the Hadlock boat launch was built in 1890 and has an eclectic and unique decor. The menus were affixed inside of old record albums 😁 We were greeted and seated by our charming and very tall (6’8!) server, Matt. We first shared the Caesar salad, which I was pleased to see had anchovies and sliced Parmesan. My partner ordered one...
Came many times over the years. Fun to be back but there was no shellfish tonight which eliminated my favorite dishes. Felt it was on the pricey side. Very good service and atmosphere. Feel the eggplant appetizer could be greatly improved.; just 3 slices eggplant over 3 slices cold tomato w balsamic drizzle wasnt very interesting.
