So here we are back at Puerto Vallarta for the first time since my last review in 2017. During that time the pandemic closed everything down, a fire closed the restaurant for even longer period of time, and there were some other issues. The place is getting very good reviews again and their latest health inspection score was 100. Time to give the old but refurbished place a try.

We had a lovely evening here and really enjoyed the lovely decor and tasty food. We felt welcomed as we first walked in and once we were seated, we were presented with beautiful menus. Our server was prompt, kind and took care of us from the very beginning. There are levels to MX restaurants, and this place does everything far above any place I've experienced.

I've said it before: you go to almost any Mexican restaurant in the US, you've been to almost all of them, regardless of venue. The restaurant is nice, service excellent, food....meh.
