The service was excellent all around. Food came promptly. The food was just mediocre. The salads were great. Neither of my kids liked the kids pizza. I've had two different shrimp dishes and both were disappointing. The sauce was fine, but the shrimp itself left much to be desired. Great local place for an easy family meal.
For drinks, we had MicheIob Amberbock beer....in chilled glasses. I ordered the Risotto which was delicious and generously-served. I had carrot cake and coffee for dessert. The cake was a bit dry. The ambiance was fine, but not quite the same as at Spiro's in Chesterfield. Overall, the dinner was fine. I would not hesitate to return to Spiro's in St. Charles.
It's a very dull place. No atmosphere/ambiance. The food was ok but most of the hot dishes were served lukewarm. Our waiter was very nice but needs some training to be a professional. The man who greeted us had zero personality Too bad. Everything about the Spiro's location on Olive and 141 is much nicer
