We have come here for many years when we have friends or family from out of town. It's always been a favorite. This last trip though, was a bit disappointing. Both meals were overcooked. Based on photos I've seen from other reviewed meals, the fish and chips was definitely cooked longer than normal. The breading shouldn't be cocoa brown. And unfortunately the fish was quite dry. My husband had cioppino and unfortunately all the seafood in the cioppino was rubbery...
We ordered the fish sandwich, the fish was deep fried like fish and chips that was fine but most of it was the batter. There was very little fish. I expected a higher quality for a fish sandwich from a restaurant in Port Townsend. Our server was wonderful.
Every time I'm visiting a proper coastal town, solid seafood is on my agenda. That's what I came to Silverwater for. But I was blown away! My meal was plated with intention and cooked wonderfully. (Now that I've tasted fondant potatoes, I don't think I'll ever go back!) It was so delightful I turned my phone upside down and intentionally slowed my eating just to enjoy it. Rarely can I turn off my mind and just be in the moment, so this was a true gift....
