Salty Blue is known for its outstanding fish and chips, fish tacos, and sandwiches with fresh, crispy, and delicious breading. The restaurant offers a variety of fish options from the Pacific, with generous portions and balanced flavors. The cod filets are massive, with crunchy batter and flakey, wonderful fish. The hoki fish and chips are especially praised for being flaky and moist, even at the small end of the fillet. The calamari is as big as onion rings and very tasty. The barramundi fish and chips is large and good. The chowder is highly recommended, featuring tasty, well-fried fish and great side sauces.
Customers highlight friendly and attentive service, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for repeat visits. The dining room is clean and roomy, providing a comfortable environment. The fish tacos, like the Dos fish tacos, are very good and come with a good-sized piece of fish, complemented by slaw, pico de gallo, and flavorful sauce. Although some find the atmosphere lackluster, the food more than makes up for it, with many considering the fish and chips to be "to die for" and highly recommendable. Salty Blue is especially noted as a great place to visit before or after traveling through Seattle.
