I came in here with a large group of friends (12+) and they were super accommodating to our size and extended the kitchen hours to feed us! They gave us free coffee and fandisha (traditional popcorn) to finish our night -- everyone was full and happy by the end of the night! Great atmosphere, very kind staff, and delicious and affordable food (I'm Ethiopian, I know the good stuff)! The community is lucky to have this spot so accessible. :) A place people need to be supporting!

Went for the first time with a large group of friends — all of us being big lovers of Ethiopian food & Alem didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious (esp the vegetarian combo), the atmosphere was warm and very welcoming, and the coffee at the end of the meal was so beautifully presented. We recommended Alem to more friends and will definitely go back!

Convenient from the light rail and bus route 50 and 7. Excellent delicious food, and the cook gave us special attention. We got the Alan special perfect for two and an African beer.
